No one will ever question your tenacity as a problem solver. If you're willing to subject yourself to this amount of torment for our entertainment, I am willing to watch every second of the hour and half endeavor. It was worth every second of my time. Cheers Peg.
My uncle started out as a truck mechanic for Cummins Internation out of Joplin, MO, and retired the only person to have ever sat on the board of directors with no college degree. 40+years of wrenching, designing and building products for Cummins, and they rewarded him by promoting him all the way to the top.
Hell yeah that’s awesome. I sure wish I could find a company to work for that was half as great. My last shift was 21 hours straight in a class A truck. Never turned down an offer to cover a shift. Fixed the truck when it broke at 20/hour to save time and money for the company. (Mobile mechanic always charged $150/hour) After the 21 hour shift I was rewarded with a “your services are no longer required” and “you’re costing the company too much money.”
The only TH-camr that I will watch every second of an hour and a half long vidya. The amount of time and effort that goes into these minty productions. And honestly, the fact you do most of this work hungover is insane.
I'm an aircraft mechanic, I can fix almost every break with 3 items, my Leatherman, my mini screwdriver and the most useful tool in an a&ps pocket... A ballpoint pen.
@Quirin M. That's why I said most, and also the point when I delegate the job. The only tool needed to do that job is a torque wrench and massive axle nut which none of my techs have in their tool boxes so my point remains
Too bad the commies hit the old derate switch on good old fashioned conventional humans like us and now everythings been made safe for all these bleeding heart hurt feelings forgot my gender libtards , and the language has to be censored
For a guy, that has never watch this channel, but I’ve heard of you. But seeing big rig Hayes and twin stick garage, you had me wheeled in. This could be the beging of something beautiful! I even went and liked it, just 6minutes in!
What an awesome old truck. Never heard of Hayes in the US. The old Cummins seems pretty decent. Were those Mack rear ends or another brand? Asking your wife and getting your sons input was priceless. Hopefully the little guy follows in your footsteps, need more people not afraid to work with there hands for a living. Thanks for the videos. Always a treat.
The beginning with willard and your son was awesome.. I had a black cat that was the same way when I was a kid. His name was tom and he was a rough old ally cart . He would go everywhere I went in the yard even letting me bury his ass up to his neck in sand ..lol he would just hang out.
I gotta say peg the way you can deal with the hits and problems you encounter on the road is admirable. Most people would have never attempted to drive that thing that far. For you just another adventure. Keep the vidyas coming and keep speaking truth brother
Peg let me just say you're on a level of hilarious that very few reach. Your video quality is also getting much better. Please keep em coming! I am always telling the guys at work to check you out. Best wishes from upstate New York. 🇺🇸🇨🇦
when he got the rickshaw hooked up again after fixing the auxiliary driveshaft and gave that raspy "mint" it made me appreciate how much work peg puts into the videos
Peg been watching your channel for 6 months now or more and now's the Time to subscribe too old twin sticks just because you brought him on your channel keep doing what you doing much respect from Oklahoma USA 🇺🇸
Best content for a saturday by far. It came with all the derelicts, cosby sauce, cheech and ingenuity on Peg's behalf. You are a crafty s.o.b. even with one good foot and the odds never all the way in your favor, you make things work in the long run. Never a dull moment and always learn a trick or two, thanks for the content. ✌️
Enjoyed the heck outta this Peg. I am just smart enough to know that this is a lotta work, and I thank you you for it. That truck is history on wheels, for sure. Also dig the colab with Twin Sticks, hope we can see more if that in the future, the Peg and Stick team is a hoot.
My dad drove logging trucks for my grandpa (who loved two things - ol' Ferd diesels and Stihl chainsaws) and he utilized the finest wing nut cruise control hardware money could buy. He also used three logbooks - one for himself, one for the office bookkeeper, and one for the lawman. I'd go with him as a kid on trips all the time. Those were the good ol' days when we knew what bathrooms to use.
That was awesome glad to see you and twin stick get together!! That is a sweet old truck and your are definitely an iron man for driving that thing that far!! Thanks peg for the great video!!
That's some minty AF drone footage 👍...... I'd really like to see more co-laberations with Mr. Twin Sticks 😁, this is an awesome video, and dam that's a beautiful old girl of a rig.....nice find 🔥🔥🔥
Its so Awesome seeing You resurrect that Minty Old 57 Hayes out of the giggle weeds and bring her back to life again! That Minty old truck has a lot of life still in her! Keep up the great work Peg! 👌
bout 15 yrs ago i was blessed with the chance to drive a n old dump truck 1985 k wappa 250 cummins EF 10 it was a fine machine gears floated perfectly all it needed was a double clutch when going to the high side super fun and great memory!!
THANK YOU PEG! You uploading all these greasy vidyas of these big rigs recently have inspired me to become a diesel mechanic and since switching over from small time shit, I've been hooked since. You are ONE MINTY FUCK BUD!
Never watched a video this long on youtube and don't regret 1 minute of it. Thanks for posting videos like this and saving the old iron. I think part of that vibration problem is pairing up those old bias tires next to the newer radials, think of it as paring a liberal with a conservative, nothing good can come of that situation
Haven't watched your stuff in forever. The Hayes caught my eye. Hilarious! The old engines with the low idle snore need a flapper on the exhaust for better rhythm :-)
Peg, I've been watching your videos since I was in grade 11 in a small town in northwestern Pennsylvania. As I've gotten older I have really been taken a liking to your sense of humor it is really next level. You have inspired me to up my drinking game take on bigger projects and live life all the way. Thank you for your videos and the entertainment, down here in South Carolina. God bless.
I’ve seen some minty old C500s for sale near me. I have a feeling after watching you do another Rez-Erection I’m going to need a find a way to get my hands on one for my own Rez-Erection
I literally got home after picking up my 1972 white semi truck out of a bush and then I come home and I turn on TH-cam and there's a new video about you getting an old truck I need to order a f****** mint sticker for mine
Great upload as always, even ungreased. Making me smile and loving the views from the cab roof. Where can we get the music? It’s amazing, make my work commute more lively.
Idle must be adjusted at governor. There is a spinning flywheel countering your gas pedal being pushed in slightly. Two springs are countering each other
Wow I haven’t watched this channel for at least a year or two and his production value has gone up a lot with all those little cut scenes in music and stuff pretty cool
I drive a 1988 f250 I made into a single cab short bed truck with a Isuzu 4bd1t 5 speed manual lifted 2 inches coil spring solid axle up front leafs in the back running stock steel rims with bias ply tires and the truck is military green gets 35mpg going 55mph towing 5000 pounds gets me 19mpg at 55mph I built this truck myself for $2000 im 22

Man this hits perfect today. Just drove my 7.3 home from the shop today. First time sonce i've owned it I took it somewhere. Up pipes on a 26 year old truck with no torches are a bitch. Thanks for the vid Peg. Keep on givin er. 👍
uummm lets see. I think with non sync trans we were taught to "double clutch". Anybody remember that? I also remember that grinding sound when I didn''t get it right. I bet there are not many left who experienced this. Thanks for all the effort this took. Brought back a lot of memories.
Excellent adventure beginning to end. An old Cheecher barreling through the hills. All those trees perked up as you blasted past them with metric tons of CO2 that they hadn't inhaled since the 80's. Twin sticks and aircraft mechanic are the heroes. Oh and that rusty drunk bastard our protagonist welding random sockets to yoke nuts. A bastard will think of anything to get home to a warm bed and a stunned dog. 🚛💨🌲
If you do a little tuning on that old 855 she should give you about a foot of flame out the stack when she is working hard. Sweet finding the old bear. Shout out to Twin Sticks & Single Drive. Good friends to have.
Peg, you are pretty much every good hand I worked with on service rigs over the years. That is a complement, and a put down in one comment. Lol Takes one to know one I guess.

Not really torment if it comes to something you enjoy.

I’m guessing he retired right around when the ISX came out? No way a mechanic designed anything after the N14 👍
FUCK YEAH HE GODDAMN EARNED IT
You riding on your uncles laurels ?
My step grandfather use to bench press amtrak trains 😮
Hell yeah that’s awesome. I sure wish I could find a company to work for that was half as great. My last shift was 21 hours straight in a class A truck. Never turned down an offer to cover a shift. Driveshaft repair with a leatherman and a stick welder. No question what kind of people actually keep these countries running.

@Quirin M. how many tires do you mount on airplanes?

@@nicholasprice88 Oh yeah. Aircraft mechanics are KNOWN for cutting corners and not doing things by the book! Right guys? Right???
@@eriklarson9137 im not sure what that has to do with any of this.

Heros like Peg never die. They live within us all.
That wheelchair cut scene had me in tears 😂
Imagine driving that thing brand new off of the lot back in 1957 and ripping through the gears... my lord
And 40 cent diesel fuel
For a guy, that has never watch this channel, but I’ve heard of you.
But seeing big rig Hayes and twin stick garage, you had me wheeled in.
This could be the beging of something beautiful!
I even went and liked it, just 6minutes in!
Was wondering what you were gonna do when you picked up the ram badge. You didn't disappoint.
That was fucking classic, I figured Knowing him he was gonna drop a fat one right on camera..LMFAO

Hayes in the US will be almost entirely logging trucks.
Double reduction rockwells. Probably 46-40's.
I believe they got bought by paccar
All the gears are there,ya just gotta find them.
