Oh, the Summer King is _great._ Vastly overdramatic, liable to engage in pranks that can only be described as "silly," and a lover of cats? I recognize a kindred spirit. Helps that it's Naught and the man can _act._ I have to wonder where all his people are, though? Usually Summer is the most populous of the Fae Courts, season of growth and all that, so are they all on vacation at present or something? The Lady of the Hunt is very sweet as well, as expected. As soon as the changeling gets sleepy, she immediately goes "Aw, dammit, now I have to take care of this guy. _Fiiiiine."_ and that's frankly adorable. It's still messing with my head that this is the third listener in as many audios (I think?), but I guess there's just a ton of changelings wandering around Faerie, which does make perfect sense. Merry Christmas, Nightshade! Welcome back.
Naught did amazing, amirite? I think this world works best if you accept the source mythology as very loose inspiration for something entirely new. Because this "Summer" is not about growth and plenty - it's a literal desert, and its King is essentially a guy with a lot of cats who calls his home Summer and declared himself its monarch. And if no one else lives there, can you really argue that he's NOT its king? Spring and Autumn have proper courts, but Winter and Summer... not so much. Which is why you might notice that the Queen of Spring calls them "Lords" and the Lady of the Hunt seems to be humoring the listener in the last audio by referring to Winter as a king. (And you know, I can relate to those kings a little bit. It's easier than one might think to declare yourself royalty and have people accept it! I never even asked anyone here to call me "your Majesty", but take a look around the comments section... 😄) There are two changelings wandering around faerie that I know of. One is the listener here, and one is the listener the Queen of Spring talked to (though if you want thoe two to be the same person, they can be). The listener of the last Autumn audio, the knight to the king of Winter, is a human who discovered Faerie as an adult, as I understand it. Merry Christmas, Storm, and thank you for the lovely comment!
@@nightshadequeenasmr ...In my defense on both points, it's been a while since I relistened. My brain isn't designed to store large volumes of information at once. I think I remember now, though... yeah, the two ladies got to be Queens but the dudes were relegated to just Lords. That was a thing. Probably lucky for them, honestly, getting to just chill with your cats instead of dealing with the pressures of a whole court sounds pretty nice.
@@nightshadequeenasmr Accurate, those are close to my main interests in life at this point. I'm happy to find someone else interested in that stuff as well, it's more rare than I, at least, want to think it is.
Kudos to both of you. This was hilarious. The changeling should've known not to assist in a prank. Prank wars tend to go back & forth like a tennis match. Cool audio both of you! LOVED IT!!!😊💚👍
After listening to Naughts i cant decide which i like more because i wnjoy both of your vpices so its just hard to choose. Maybe this one though since it has about equal amounts of the two of you and bonfire stories are always fun even if you are asleep
You’re back your majesty, welcome back, hope you have a merry Christmas with your family and friends. You’re a blessing to us all. God bless you. 🙏💜✝️🎄
Ooohh~! Okay, listen- I’m usually weary when it comes to Fae and the least I wanna do is messing with them in any sort of way… guess that’s not happening today~! ✨😅😰🫣 Happy Holidays people~! ✨🎉🎄💕
Good to be hearing from you again. I don't know if it'll make any difference, but when I was at the Ohio Renaissance Festival, I found a suitable necklace that came close enough to your color theme for your channel here. Think of it as my gift to you, if we were to ever meet somehow. Other than that, great work on this video and with your guest speaker.
You're a human changeling who spends a lot of time in Summer. You were eavesdropping on the King of Summer. He caught you and asked you to drop sleeping potion in the Autumn Court's bonfire stew. You did, and the Lady of the Hunt caught you. When she asked you to taste the stew to prove it wasn't poison, you did, and you fell asleep. While you were asleep, she told you about the hunt that happened that night, a story which involves a horse. The faerie that owns the horse is probably taking care of it right now, which is why no one has arrived for dinner at the Bonfire yet, which is lucky for you. If they'd come on time, you'd have been caught by everyone, and she couldn't cover up what you'd done. That's what she's talking about. I designed this soundscape originally as a sleep aid, so it's pretty easy to zone out and lose the thread of the plot, I imagine. The transcript is always there if things get confusing - I make sure my subtitles are accurate, so pulling up the transcript can hopefully help! Thank you so much for watching and engaging with me!

I wouldn't expect you to remember any of that! But I know you get pretty into lore and worldbuilding, and I enjoy talking about it, too.
