Carballes Baena is such an unsportsmanlike drama-queen. Wrong in both occasions and incredibly disrespectful. There needs to be a much tighter grip and use of the code for these type of players.
Fabio Fognini is gonna be ALL OVER one of the next of these for his antics this week. "For sure your sister is out", as well as all the arguing in all 3 of his singles matches, craziness! 😂😭😭
Don't know what Schwartzman was complaining about there. The full 25-second service clock had already been used up when he was just lifting his butt from the bench. Definitely not the 5 seconds he talked about.
He was saying "5 more seconds". He was arguing that rather than having to game the system and ask for the physio or change his shoes to get more time to change his grip, the umpire should just give him 5 more seconds to change his grip (so 30 seconds total).
Not a single one, they pretend to listen to both sides and them pretend to realice that the umpire was right. Umpires should call the supervisor in those ocasions, not the players.
@@marcosb733227 Not true actually, there have been decisions overturned by supervisors but the reason they're often not is because players call them on questions of fact. Fact cannot be overturned or changed by a supervisor.
@@Xenunt1 not always, a lot of the times the players are right but the supervisors won’t do anything or the players can’t explain it correctly since English is not their first language. But I’ve seen a few decisions being overruled too
It has nothing to do with a language barrier. The chair umpire is the ultimate authority on judgment calls made on the court. It doesn't matter if the player is "right." There is always going to be some human error involved with humans referees. It is the chair umpire's job to.make the best call they can using their professional judgment. It would make no sense to have a supervisor who was not even watching the match come on the court and try to make a line call or similar call based solely on what the two players tell them happened.
I've never seen a supervisor called to court and overruling a decision the umpire just made. It's like asking for the manager in a store, he'll say the exact same as the employee but just from a position of more authority xD
The supervisor can't reverse a ref's judgment call. They can only get involved if there is a question about the interpretation of the rules or something involving the grounds. The issue is that players continually force the supervisors to come out over judgment calls that they have no authority over.
@@jarrettpeeples9745 Indeed, hence the manager reference. They already know it's never going to happen because it's a judgement call but in their anger they need to speak to someone higher up the foodchain who can only tell them the exact same thing because they fancy themselves smarter than the ref/employee

It landed right in front of the chair umpire, so they had a very good view, unlike the other one earlier in the match. Although I'm not convinced it was out.
I refuse to believe Sousa is a professional and doesn't know the rules on bathroom breaks. He either tried to go to be a douche or his yelling makes him lose brain cells
Carballes Baena, what a cry baby. And just like a baby, he won't even own up to what he did. He kept saying that all he did was say "vamos", and that's not true. He screamed it with anger while making a threatening gesture towards the umpire. Be a man Roberto, own up to what you did.
Can someone explain why Diego doesn't just take a fresh racquet with a fresh grip instead? He's gotta have another AT LEAST another 5-6 racquets in his bag.
I'm not 100% sure, but maybe due to the tension of the string. You see, during playing, tennis balls lose bit after bit pressure and therefore speed and length. At the same time strings lose tension and lower string tension will give you more ball speed and length by the same stroke. It's kinda balanced out, of course not exactly, but in a way. So in many cases it's not optimal to hit "old" balls with a fresh racket. This is also the reason why many players change to fresh racket when the new balls are brought in(fresh high tension string for new speedy balls). I believe there're players who bring fresh rackets with different string tensions with them. But many just don't. So it makes sense to keep using "older" racket in certain case.
The writers showed in this scene how Ben manipulates Callum and controls the relationship. Callum supporting Ben when he clearly is mentally ill makes character weak. Callum got no backbone. It looks like Ben threatened to end the relationship unless Callum supported him. The writers made Callum so weak. He knows Ben is mentally ill he called Phil for back up.

I know there are rules for a reason, but not allowing someone to go to the toilet without fear of losing the match almost seems like a human rights violation. I know it can be abused by players faking it, but I feel like the umpire should be able to make a judgement call. What's he supposed to do, just pee in his shorts onto the court?
