❤This song.. I wake up to these guys.. Every morning.. 1st thing i put on when I get up then they stop on till midnight ❤em too bits especially Chris he's gorrrgeous and absolutely fantastic at what he does And with Neil's sweet voice its the perfect combination of a perfect duo❤❤
I compare each of their new albums to Actually. So far, none have bettered it. A couple have come close to being nearly as good. None have bettered it.
Had Actually, Please and Disco rotating on the walkman on the school bus. Then came introspective and Behaviour on the train to Leeds collage of Building. PSB created the sound track to my life.
I have so many great memories of being a 14 year old and listening to this song. What an absolutely fantastic album. I still play it to death now at the age of 50!! Thank you PSB's for being part of my childhood and making it so precious and memorable.
This is without question one of their BEST songs if not THE best song they have ever made. The song builds up to irresistible pulsating rhythms as contemporary dissonant beautiful chords (they were ahead of their time) plays throughout. The quirky peculiar "wah wah, wah wah wah" sound perks up the listener even more. Layers of tracks make this tune sound nice and "full".
" I Want To Wake Up" is probably my favorite song by the Pet Shop Boys. Very technically layered, precise, great beat, modern day musical chords (dissonant sounding but beautiful), and cool lyrics..."I heard what you said and I can tell you it's true..." kind of catches you off guard...is he talking about ME? :)
Absolute classic ...end of ... their music is utterly timeless. I was brought up 3 years behind my older sister... I owe her so much...80s and 90s ....unrivaled music imo 👌
I was 20 when this come out and still crazy about these..especially Chris..❤him too bits..still looks fantastic in tight jeans 👖 at the age of 63..64 October 4th ..3 days after I,m 56 😮
Reminds me of my school sweetheart met in infants we went all through Middle and high school together till we left and lost each other for 38 years till 3 years ago when we found each other again on messenger been in touch ever since ❤him just as much now as I did all those years ago ❤❤
Beautiful song. Remember the days partying in Mexico 🇲🇽 Listening to this song and pet shop music. Most of the time, I was a little tipsy and dancing to these 80's music. Freestyle. Don't remember who i was with or what I was doing..Best times of my fuck#$ life.
I’ve always thought this should have been released as a follow-up single to “It’s a Sin”, as its one of the album’s strongest songs melodically and lyrically and ok every other way. 💎
These 2 guys were lightning in a bottle. They could take the sound of a cruise ship going through a brick wall sound catchy and add a hook and bam another song we sing the chorus to. Thanks Pet shop boys.
Learn kindness and compassion. Peace be with you.-j from my wife's TH-cam with her permission of course. Cause good guys ask if it's okay to do anything. The good guys don't just do what they want disregarding other people's feelings. ☮️🎶

My favorite PSB tune, actually! Sometimes listening to a song can trigger a strong emotion... a situation which happens in the very song! Brilliance... ✴
They had so many fantastic songs, yet this one remains my favourite. I wore out 2 cassette tapes of Actually at the time, I played it so much. How time flies...
I still have all the old tapes (never owned a record player of my own, sadly, as a kid), and my brother and I were young teenagers when we listened to these tracks back and forth, in the back of the car, I fondly remember camping trips with our parents. Days and weeks and that music brings back all these memories, even though I never ceased listening. Today, sometimes I wonder, what is "the" way to have these. CDs? Tapes? Digital only? There are various versions scattered about, some of it on Spotify seems like it isn't the exact same, too. It's not always important -- depends on the track, really. Love to everybody!
Chris will be 65 3 days after I'm 57 he still looks as if he, s 21 and absolutely fantastic at what he does And DrOP Dead GORRGEOUS and with Neil's sweet voice you can't go wrong that's why I listen to these guys 17 hrs a day absolutely fantastic at what they do xxx
❤these guys ..especially Chris the most cleverest people alive songs are fantastic and the music that mainly done by Chris is brilliant 👏 their singing I listen to all day hope they carry on for many years yet ..CHRIS AND NEIL 100%the best band ..EVER..

That's what I keep asking myself, too. Shall I ever recover? And I could say, against all logic, that I can never think of anyone but YOU Neil, my incredibly sensitive, smart, radiant angel...
I was 12 years old when this was released and it still excites me as much today as it did back then. This whole album is a true masterpiece.
It really is. I was about the same age and at the time my whole family listened to this album.
Dont bop your lips thats A warning ⛔️
Me too!! Happy happy days ❤❤

Hands down one of the most underrated PSB songs ever!
A trip back to 1987 and an absolutely wonderful album. I listen to Actually at least once every month and it STILL holds up even 33 years later.
same here!
Well said
Ditto

This song is crazy beautiful! Pet Shop Boys are the britisch national treasures ❤

this dissonant chords reminds me 'Early In The Morning' by The Gap a little.
exactly my thoughts ;)
I want to wake up .... thanks Pet Shop Boys for waking me up to such exciting, cool, timeless ART

Pet Shop Boys are one of my favorites. They were a very talented 80's band.
That's putting it mildly...........isn't it!!!!!!!!!
you mean they ARE !!!!
Pet Shop Boys call themselves a Now band, not an 80s band. And besides, they had more albums and singles in the 90s than the 80s.
Absolute classic ...end of ... their music is utterly timeless. I was brought up 3 years behind my older sister... I owe her so much...80s and 90s ....unrivaled music imo 👌

Not heard this in decades and still know all the words...
It's a great piece of songwriting; so often overlooked vs them being an 'electronic' band. Loved this track so much
3:12 best part -> increscendo -> arpeggios -> Neil Claiming Love -> OOUUHHH!!!!!!
a great PSB song, it deserves more publicity than it has received, as is the case with many of their '2nd' rated [if I may call them so] songs
From the Chile, i listening PSB, in the night, relax solitary now
Great track. I love the Johnny Marr Remix from 1993 too.
👍🏽❤️
Love, Love, Love this track.
das war für mich das schönste album..

Listening to this song it's like being in a time Machíne it's like going back to those precious 80s so many good memories come to my mind ❤
Great memories listening to this track back in 1987 as a youngster. Fine tune indeed and marvelous LP.
I’ve always thought this should have been released as a follow-up single to “It’s a Sin”, as its one of the album’s strongest songs melodically and lyrically and ok every other way. 💎
Plus, of course, they just flow so well together thematically from the one to the next 👌
These 2 guys were lightning in a bottle. They could take the sound of a cruise ship going through a brick wall sound catchy and add a hook and bam another song we sing the chorus to. Thanks Pet shop boys.
this song is an absolute marvel, thanks to Pet Shop Boys 📡
One of my favourite songs ❤️ thank you so much
One of my favourite PSB song ever. Love the Breakdown Mix, it's like experiencing a real waking up.
I agree with you comment Breakdown Mis is amazing! Cheers from Argentina.
With their first two records, the PSB brought electronic music to every europian home, and that's a reality in our 2020 days.
This just made my boring Monday morning come alive, 😁
Amo locamente esta canción, ese "All my life" es brutal...

What a beautiful track, still!

Hermoso recuerdo.

This is so good I can't believe how obscure it is... hidden gems all the better for us
My favourite from that album! The image of the tone arm being over that track is incarcerated in my mind. Extraordinary!!!
This song, followed by Heart, was such a perfect sequence
I would appreciate if the Boys play it live someday.

I heard what you said and I can tell you it's true
I heard you said that I am crazy about you
Turn in my sleep, the bad dream is over

I heard this on the radio back on Okinawa 1987. I copied this song on cassette my 80s collection.
