The string tension will pull the neck into the desired relief. Depending upon how stiff the neck feels when I flex it I might sand relief into it. Just come from experience.

Not really, It's just enought so the fretboard is level from nut to 19th fret.

Another question: Do you have a technique/jig to provide an additional one or two frets for the high E string.

My templates go to 24 frets so I can add more if needed.
Do you use a truss rod?
Not on my classical guitars. No need for one.
