I found 13 consecutive $100 AA prefix notes from the bank about 4 months ago.
Definitely put them aside and they were all IMO close to aUnc condition.
That would be $20 EA notes.

hi, i am very new to money collecting, have just started with coins so am still unfamiliar with note collecting. would you be able to please do a beginners video explaining the different aspects of bank notes that make them special and what i should be looking for? im especially confused with what the serial numbers and letters mean and what combinations are special and why. I love your videos keep it up and thanks in advance!
Sorry for the slow reply. I will see if I have time to make a new video soon. The first 2 numbers after the letters are the year the note was made. The letters are the prefix usually starting at AA being the first. The last depends on how big the print run was.
What are you looking for on the reverse side?

You Lucky Bugger..! I've found Conservative (new) notes with DJ prefix and Lowe signature.( are they worth keeping..?)
But want either AA or EA. wiv Lowe signature. Obviously..!!

I'm assuming it's a "no", but are the older style notes (polymer but not the ones from the new series of 5, 10, 20, 50 and 100) worth anything, or moving up at all? I figure that since the banks remove them from ciruclation and you see relatively few of them only 2 years after the new ones come out, that the old ones must be worth something in say, 10 years... Way off? Cheers.

Once upon a time there was a stamp dealer. He had a shop and a newsletter. He would claim all sorts of prices being paid for stamps. When people rang him up to sell their stamps, those prices had vanished. Consumer Affairs investigated and uncovered a racket where he was buying the same stamps he sold under another business name to drive prices up.
Be very careful if you intend to collect these notes. Ebay is rife with similar activity.
Unless you can walk into a coin dealer and get paid $800 cash for one of these notes, dont believe Ebay prices.
$20 buys a pizza now, in 20 years time $20 will buy half a pizza.

Hi PJ I have in my possession a 1966 20cent coin wavey line ,I was hoping you might advisee on were to sell it also have some other coins 100 yr 50c and 20c,if you could guide me to best option that would be appreciated
Take a look and compare your coin with sold coins to work out value and try selling. Many of the facebook groups will also allow sales and then there is no cost to you.
I've managed to keep at least 3 since the early 80s.

I just raided my Local ATM scored 8 EA lowe $2 notes.
Some even Consecutive. Crisp clean Brand Spankers.
And I only Got these because of you and your site.( I have been to the Teller 6 times in the last 36hrs.)
But I wouldn't have known with out you and your Efforts.

we found an EA 192000006 does that make it special at all ? It has the Gaetjens signature but the EA last prefix, Thanks

All those lowe Fraser 20 notes are in adelaide, I found 5 in 3 days obviously circulated one has the code cj190022200 not sure it the number would be special being close to mirror numeracy
i tried to hunting AA 20 DOLLAR notes from ATM everyweek.nothing good was found ...sad~

Best to check current sold figures on ebay for these notes to see if they are selling and what prices have been paid.

Does anyone know if a 2018 $50 Spelling Error, not first or last prefix but FG18 4426100 in UNC condition is worth keeping for a while?
