Just watched this, im from nepal, and the hindu culture presented here is so matching with what we do in my village, we worship a god like kantara every year and my parents and elders always said to never mess with the god or your life will be bad, same thing is presented in this movie in a very meaningful way absolutely recommend it

I watched Kantara today and i can confidently say that this movie is a masterpiece, action sequence, direction and music everything is at its best. The intensity goes at its peak in the end. One must watch it to appreciate it.

My family worships Panjurli, and while I watched this film, I experienced the same divine presence. People in Bangalore who had no ties to the coastal culture actually felt the heavenly presence, which shocked me. An absolute masterpiece. As a guy from Tulunadu ,where bhoota kola's are performed, i don't think dubbing can bring the same impact as compared to original. Also you need to have to have atleast little knowledge about our daivas like panjurli and guliga to understand and feel full impact of the movie. I hope this dubbing doesn't completely dilute the movie's impact

My point is South didn’t see the wave after wave of invasions that North did over 1000yrs, since geographically we were more protected. Its a matter of degrees… North suffered much more… look at how few historic temples remain there compared to south? Take the example of Qutab minar complex… build from the destroyed ruins of 28 Hindu and Jain temples in the complex.

I m Telugu, the same culture is in every region. There is KulaDaivam in each corner of India. There are traditional festivals all over India, which are revolved around their KulaDaivam. The same has been shown in the movie, due to which every Indian is connecting genetically. This is in our genes, so it made goosebumps at divine scenes.

but what I liked the most in this movie was - In the last scene when the God calls the Bald Forrest officer) who helped villagers against landlord and holds his hand. And then he grabs his hand and pet it and all other people joined. I literally cried on this scene dnt know why!

The climax scene is the best climax I have ever seen. I had goosebumps all over my body and was stunned. I felt some kind of different energy flowing in my body. Don't judge a book by its cover, its a must watch!!! trust me guys. At beginning I wasnt really excited for watching this movie but it was one of my best decisions

I haven't seen any Climax better than Tumbbad till date. Like I was Spellbound and awestruck watching it ; it was so out of the box yet logical providing a perfect end to the classic story. I don't think any movie can surpass it and mainly since this movie is somewhat related to demigods , I am skeptical whether this movie concludes with a logical ending.
