    Begonias are so gorgeous and hearty in my flower bed. They frame my patio nicely. This is my third year planting the cocktail begonias! Going to transfer to indoor pots during the winter

    I googled the price of these $8.99 for a 4.25 in pot and it looks like you have 90 pots there. So our cost would be $809.10 less tax. I sure can't afford that for annuals. I'm sure they will be awesome when they fill in though.

      In my area they are cheap. I just bought 3 trays for like $38.

      In the southern areas, yes these plants will be perennial, they might go in and out of bloom when the weather cools, but will survive the lower temps. Enjoy!

    Lovely for shade and they can be removed to overwinter or just buy fresh the following year.

    My husband gave me potted begonias for last Mother’s day. I had it on our deck thru the summer and brought it in for winter (live in Central MN). I put it in front of a window facing south. It has grown over the winter but the stems are really long and straggly; it’s still blooming flowers. Should I deadhead, trim the stems to shorten? I don’t want to kill it, as it’s the last flowers my husband gave me (he passed away last Nov). Your advise will be so appreciated! Thanks!

      @ProvenWinnersYouTube  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I am so sorry to hear about your husband. What is happening with your plant is that it is stretching to try to reach the sun in the room, so yes, please cut it back a bit right before it is warm enough to set the plant outside. A little sun and plant food will go a long way.

    Opps, my finger hit the send thingee b4 I was ready! Thanks for watering and spacing info. You mentioned another plant you were going to plant with yr begonias to create a color contrast but I didn't catch the name, smth like lemon coral sedum? Would you pl give us the correct name/spelling? Also, have you ever posted about using drip tubing (name correct?). This sounds heaven sent! Also, where to find garden zoning information? I'm watching from the outskirts of Paris, France. Too bad we don't have a local gardening club.

    • @ProvenWinnersYouTube
      @ProvenWinnersYouTube  4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      You will see a bit of a larger plant in the sun, but there is not a large amount of difference.

    Where is the after video showing how they look now?

    • @provenwinnersgrowers
      @provenwinnersgrowers 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      We do not have a video of that, but the image of the two pots on a deck is what you should expect at maturity, they will typically reach 20-24" in height. Thanks for watching!

    It that a type of th begonias named BIG BEGONIAS? They will take th southern heat but i dont like how th leaves curl from too much southetn heat n lack of water but should be fine under that lovely tree n drip irrigation. I grow them every year n friends love receiving them in baskets as gifts. The pink has a better from than the red as it has a tendency to have th taller stems thst become ragged n benefit from a pruning. Problem us if you make cuttings they dont have a tendency to branch n full out
