The belief in modern apostles and prophets as spiritual authorities within the church, held by the NAR, comes with serious consequences: In many cases, these individuals are granted authoritarian control. As leaders of a group convinced they are engaged in spiritual warfare within a vivid realm of angels and demons, these authoritarian figures assume the role of 'generals' in an army. The rank-and-file members, serving merely as privates, are enlisted in a battle they do not fully comprehend.
The concept is widely promoted in the series titled “God’s Generals,” which, to the NAR, has become akin to the Books of Kings from the Old Testament. In these works, author Roberts Liardon chronicles the lineage of pivotal figures in the NAR's formation, dubbing some of the most influential among them as "generals." This viewpoint suggests that, historically, the Holy Spirit has opted to guide Christians through individual leaders rather than directly through the believers' hearts, in opposition to New Testament teachings such as Romans 5:5.

A well-articulated summary treatment of the repulsive manipulations and frauds perpetuated in the name of God by the NAR's spiritual forebearers.
Thank you so much for this series on the NAR. Each new episode raises my anger for the people they trick, deceive and abuse. It's quite frustrating when I spent a decade in this cult and was oblivious to any of this.
Indebted to you for your work. As you know from our recent conversation, I grew up on Roberts Liardon (author of God’s Generals) & spent several years at his church and school in So. Cal prior to his own scandal (that has largely been erased). It is a breath of fresh air to see you calling a spade a spade. So much damage has been inflicted on people through Liardon’s books of fiction and manipulation of people for personal gain.

3 decades ago I almost purchased God's Generals. I went to the bookshop a few times, looked at the book but never purchased it. Sadly, I did read and believed the stories about some of the people you mention. I'm so grateful that I no longer subscribe to them.
When i took Bethels school of the supernatural at our church for 2 yrs Gods generals was part of our required reading. I read it through and i remember being amazed and was also questioning as wasnt fully convinced that the stories were true.

Agreed, we are all equals & even the perception of hierarchy within the body of Christ should be avoided. That includes avoiding stages, one person dominating the gathering, using titles ect.. Without equal honor for all the love of Christ cant be expressed throughout the body which is the goal. LOVE
We've come a long way from Jesus telling his disciples to take no money bag with them when they went out to heal the sick, raise the dead, cast out demons. These false teachers do none of that, but have their money bags front and center. The complete opposite.

@@Dilley_G45 Any receipts showing her rental of large numbers of wheelchairs? I did hear one healer explain that just because a sick person is in a wheelchair, it doesn't mean they cannot walk, but rather weakness and coordination could have been their problem. Of course, nobody really knows which were just weak and which couldn't walk.

Do you have documented proof of the statements made in this video? I am not disagreeing with anything that was said, but I don’t want to be naive and guilty of the same thing as those who believed what these ministers said.

What gets to me about all this, you can have the true and not the false. You can live the genuine and not the fake. Lord Jesus Christ still does miracles, still brings forth cures, but not in the way of deception. God still heals, still gives remission to the incurable, but never charges to heal ever. Its not people that heal or do these, its the Holy Ghost, when he works through the incurable. Everyone has been given the gift of healing, we all heal, some are better at it than others, some are used to help heal others, working with nature, or the spiritual, or divine or eternal, but for Christians has to be with the Holy Ghost. The USA church need to support and help the genuine more, instead of persecuting them and giving these deceptive persons any sort of place within the churches. What's all this some are the generals and the rest are the privates....its ridiculous.

Well, friend, I suppose the answer is because they are dead. While they were alive, there was certainly a much larger number of people saying the same, as is evident simply by reading the newspapers. So the question really becomes: why now? why choose this channel rather than the hundreds (thousands?) of people, books, articles, literature before?
