TY,! I was born into and grew up in Pentecostal churches. I remember visiting..and hearing discussions about the LR theology. My parents didn’t agree with the extremes of the movement…however, the “ holiness” emphasis on the way one dressed and the vanity of jewelry…as well as , where one must not be seen was part and parcel of our home life. Sadly, my parents didn’t attend our school sports and music functions because of “ the appearance of evil.” As an adult, I left the extremes of those churches and parented my children very differently. Our family is so grateful for those decisions!

Yup, the Pentecostal church I went to, towards the end of my time there, there was a sermon about all of us "daring to be Elijah's" and "receiving the spirit of Elijah"...etc...ad infinitum ad nauseam...It sounded strange and felt weird at the time...now I know they were infected.
I read The Harvest back in 1990. It was published long before 2006. I liked the book at the time because I was in the Vineyard movement, and they had brought in the KC prophets. So this book appeared to validate what those KC prophets were saying. I have many concerns about all these prophecies now, 34 years later.
The Assemblies of God may have tried to distance itself from Latter Rain, but many of those false doctrines have slowly seeped into the AG. I know, I was in it for ten years.
Me too and was ordained in The AOG. However I could not agree with their unbiblical stance on tongues. Not everyone has that gift and it's the least of them. THE WORD tells us tongues is NOT to be used in public without interpretation. And that prophecy is subject to the prophets. Who will determine if it is or not of GOD. YESHUA said " wicked is the generation that seeks after signs and wonders". And here we are !!!

He ment thah the Gospel might have been preached to all nations already ( salvation based Gospel ) but not the Kingdom now.
