ww-distribution prices are awesome. The cabinet was available for 499 EUR (610 USD) incl. shipping costs for a few days at amazon. After the few days the offer and stock magically vanished and only one pc. is available now for 699,99 EUR (854,55 USD). I can smell some scalping here. Now ww-d is selling the cabinet for 759,99 (927,86 USD) EUR at ebay and 649,99 EUR (793, 82 USD) on their webside. Hooray!!!
@madlittlepixel I ran into an issue with the joystick. The .187 cables weren’t long enough. Is there a way to combine 2 cables or is there a longer one that I can buy?
Like the majority of the population I couldn't afford a NeoGeo as a kid. In spite of that I have an odd nostalgia for neogeo, and absolutely love collecting anything NeoGeo. With that being said, 500 dollars is stretching it. It'd be an instant buy for me at 349.99...
Definitely want to get one of these. I have a Recroom masters Jr with custom Streets of Rage 1-4 art and this would look nice next to it. I remember one of the neogeo cabs in the cart coral area of a local supermarket and i would play on that thing every time my mom went shopping lol. Nostalgia factor is over 9k.
It's a real shame they didn't simply make it easier to mod, especially when their entire consumer base is specifically arcade enthusiasts that would naturally want to open it up and arrange it the way they'd like it. I hope Madlittlepixel can give them some feedback to let them know they should've used less glue inside and should arrange the panel to allow Sanwa/Semitsu buttons and sticks. Unfortunately, I won't be buying this because of the hassle of simply modding the damn thing.
Maybe the company should provide a list of compatible parts from manufacturers. And adapt their routing and building specs to accommodate for these interchangeable parts. Perhaps even include upgrade paths. This would be good for business both ways ...
@@WawrzyniecTheIII I actually received mine today and opened it right away to swap out the buttons. Right off the bat, they glued everything so getting the buttons out is much challenging than arcade1up cabs unfortunately...
I'd much rather have this than an arcade 1 up, but I know the buttons aren't ideal etc. So I'm torn between this, and patience where I custom make a full cabinet.
Hi. Do you have knowledge if the plexiglass is removable to be cleaned behind. The unit I just bought has a spec behind the plexiglass that is visible as a black dot during gameplay and my concern is that the plexiglass is glued in place as I see no screws like the arcade1up. I emailed customer support but have received no response yet. Any info would be appreciated. Thanks
Madlittlepixel I can't help but suspect that even if I unmount the monitor from the rear that it will still be sandwiched to the plexi with some sort of adhesive. I'm going to try and ignore it for the time being, before I take any risk since it's so new and expensive. But again, thanks so much for your insight and that you were willing to take the time out of your day to respond. I wish I could say the same for mvsx customer support or the retailer I purchased it from (Canada computers), whom you've been infinitely more helpful than. You rule.
@@Madlittlepixel MVS is probably a better idea for the channel, but I personally would love to see what it'd work like with the MiSTer as that's what I was going to do with the MVSx if I ever figure out a way to get it in Canada for a good price.
Why buy this over a NeoGeo ASP and adding the Hylo Hack? The ASP is always on sale for $100, so you could buy two for less than this. What is the advantage of the MVSX over the ASP? Please let me know what I am missing.
IL Buttons would work better, no need for additional cherry switch purchase, they come with Cherry or Omron that's as good if not better, HAPP used to be my Jam but it has been eh lately, like the last few years lately.
the stock unit costs enough as it is plus if you do all this and that to it the final cost is ott , not worth it in my eyes but everyone to there own Right
I didn't watch the whole vid, but I know Sanwa buttons are 30mm. Not all arcade buttons are the same size, and I'm not sure what this uses. It might be because sanwa buttons also have a shorter cylinder, which is good for fight sticks, but often too shallow to put in plywood. My real MVS cab has HAPP buttons.
Very expensive product for a standard consumer to buy and get shipped to usa seems like this thing is marketed towards some very serious enthusiasts with high credit limits to burn thru.
Its not just available international. Its sold in the USA and other countries. But when a distributor sends me a product, typically it's not cool for me to post links to other sellers.
not worth that much money. Maybe $250 tops but at this point they are asking for the price of a PS5/SERIES-X/NINTENDO SWITCH. which those consoles have almost all of the neo geo library available. It's a hard pass for me.

This cabinet is worth revisiting now there is 3rd party modded firmware with extra games.
Was there ever a part 2? I was unable to find it If there is.
As long as I can the few games I thought were missing from this list....I'm sold. Neo geo is the GOAT in my humble opinion

Yeah glad I'm not a kid anymore and can simply just work or sell stuff around the house and buy this. Got mine yesterday, totally worth it.
Hardest working man on youtube!!!! Keep it up. Love the black Friday ad videos.
Thank gosh. A new SNK/Neo Geo video to get my mind off of the election. Thanks dude, 'ppreciate it!
Here, here it's a freaking clown show.
Waiting for part 2 for adding more games!
Hmm.... I was looking forward to this but the lack of support towards plug and play Sanwa buttons is troubling. Thank you for this video.
I really like the black buttons in place of the white ones for those extra 2 buttons!
I like the black buttons

Slapped that like button, and it kept asking for more...
Thanks for the look at button modding for this cabinet. :)
Dang was hoping to see more games added

Make arcade buttons great again!
Make Arcades Great Again #1
Thanks MLP. Good stuff.
Maybe they'll release a "special edition" with decent buttons.

Is there a part 2 for this?
hello and thank you very much for the video which filter did you use the image is really beautiful thank you
My question is does the Hylo stick hack work on it? It would be sweet to add some more of the snk library as well some more FbA games
hylo has it goin on lol
im thinking i need this in the gameroom
any news on part 2 sir ????
Thank you soooooo much madpixel God bless you brother hopefully our path swill criss blessings always,
What size are those little sanwa's to replace the option buttons? And what size are the 2 black buttons you installed? Thanks!
Sweet samsho collection case! I cant find anywhere thats not 4x the retail price.
Ty for this kind sir
Sweet!
I love the neogeo when it gets hacked maybe I'll pick it up I have the full rom. Set for the neo geo fight stick this would be awesome to have
strange that sanwa buttons wouldn't fit no? I figured those buttons were more or less same size hole.
Any Fun R1 follow up videos? Its sold out on the website so people have em

Thanks.
Do they make a .187 4 pin wire harness for the joystick connections?
Hi to you, can i ask you nicely, what size of button? is it 24mm 28mm or 30mm, can you help me
Can this arcade powerful to emulate ps1, ps2, ps3, xbox, xbox 360, gamecube, wii, switch?
Nice.. Thanks

If you take the back panel off you can unscrew the mounts for the monitor and clean the plexi. I'm not sure how else to access it.
Madlittlepixel thanks for the reply, much appreciated

you should take the whole thing apart, take a lvds controller for the monitor and replace the insides with a MiSTer.
That's something I have been considering doing or put a 1 slot mvs board in their.

Seems like you’d have to go the extra mile in both cost and labor to get this properly up and running. Looks good though.
I couldn't hack a Rolodex let alone go some cabs lol

12:12 So that's 187 on an undercover switch?
Sorry couldn't help myself. 🤣
Put your CBOX in there and make it a real NeoGeo machine
i have a spare mvs 1 slot board, so that may be an option at some point. Ive looked at what id need to do and its fairly easy.
Think I'd rather just make myself a custom cab from an old CRT and one of my MVS I got lying about :/
thats an option for sure~
@@Madlittlepixel Did it once already 10yrs back using Dreamcast as the guts... got bored of it eventually and gutted it ... Oh well.
Is it possible to assign button combinations to certain buttons?
No
Great video dude! Do you think a Happ competition/ Eurostick would fit? Also super glad to here that soddering is not required.
I have a older happ stick and no way will it fit. Gotta keep it to the smaller sized Japanese sticks or the chinese clone equivalents.
Loving the way you rub it all over as you unbox it. Gently rubbing it.
I'm so confused, how can anyone downvote this video? Those people must hate life with a passion.
I'm really a nub at this kind of stuff. How come you can fit other arcade buttons in but not sanwa? Aren't they all the same diameter?

someone needs to make a swappable control panel with the correct 4 button and better joystick with something wider to rest your hands on
Where's the hacking video?!!
Can you add games
Like.
Great video Pixel 👍, but I think if you have to pay after purchasing a product to make it not suck, its not worth a premium.
MiSTer it!
hello
Hack holy stick Yes or not . ?
It really bugs me they added 2 extra buttons on each side -_- neo geo only ever used 4 buttons
cant wait to hack this games wise
Cool video talk tech lol yes ok yep oh ok
