Dino! Awesome work. My partner and I have been working on our little Trillium since August. Your belly band video was the key to us getting started on this project and I just found this video halfway through our window replacement! Keep up the awesome work I can’t wait to see what else you do with your Trillium 🤙

Thanks. It was my first time so I was nervous. Now that I’ve done it, I feel more confident as I approach doing the front window as it warms up. Pulling the window out initially was tricky because the opening we pretty tight. Have fun.

      Hey Gary,
I recognize that showing all the work can be boring, so speeding it up during some parts makes the work visible for those who would benefit by seeing it, yet it happens fast enough so as not to loose the others😆. Thanks for watching.
      Cheers.

Picked up a 1975 Trillium 1300 this summer, love it. Wanna do some mods, but not too many cause I want it original as possible but also modern functional. The 12 volt system is gone and not sure if it ever had one, but wires are there and have been cut. Can you maybe explain how it works and steps to install new ? Also, I can’t find a decent spare tire holder for the back bumper if my life depended on it. Can you talk about that too ? Mine obviously didn’t come with that option, but I’ve seen them on other Trillium’s. Great videos, thanks !!!

Thank you for the feedback on the video.
The rear tire holder is simply angle iron welded onto the back bumper. Any small welding shop should be able to put something together inexpensively. I hope that helps.

Have been consuming all of these restoration videos eagerly as they are exactly what I need. We've just been gifted a trillium from my father-in-law and I want to get it up to snuff (it's got a long way to go) but my experience with such things is extremely limited. Do you have a detailed list of all the items and products used here and/or in any of your videos related to this restoration? I see some videos show the products others don't, and I can't seem to find them listed in the description beyond the cover you use? When I look at the website listed it seemingly only shows things associated with your jeep stuff.

      Hey Joshua,
Congratulations of your recent acquisition. You are right about the website being all Jeep stuff, as for a list of tools and materials, I didn’t make them but I did mention them in the videos. have fun with your restoration and a recommend that you join a couple trillion Facebook groups, they have a lot of information and have access to a lot of people with expertise. do you happen to be located in Ontario?

Hey there, I just bought a trillium 1300. It's in pretty solid condition. 1 thing that has gone south iss the inside trim. I notice as I watch these kinds of videos it's common for it to fall off,or get Cracky. I am currently trying to source this trim . Might you have any suggestions?. I looked for videos in your catalog, did not see one. I'm really learning alot from your videos. Right now Tilly is at a refurbished getting things worked on. I can't wait to get her home and get started refurbishing her. She very similar to yours but now your bench seat is a dining table. That was clever.

Hi! I’m in the process of fixing the interior plywood of my window frames as well. Your video has been more helpful.
    Question:
    1. Why use butyl tape and not silicone?
    2. The interior of my trillium is a foam liner not fibreglass. Is yours the same? The foam liner covers the plywood. And I need to remove and replace the plywood. Thoughts?

    • @CheaperJeeperTV
      @CheaperJeeperTV  3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Hey Mike,
1)From what I've read online, butyl stays flexible and doesn't dry up and crack over the years exposed to the weather, as quick as silicone.
2)The stock liner is called ensolite. It is a textured vinyl outer surface, and foam backing. I used a razor to help peel the foam layer that was glued to the wood frame. I didn't use glue when I reinstalled the liner around the window.
      I hope that helped.

I’m working on the exact same project now. I just removed all the plywood window frames, and am considering putting the replacement wood on the outside of the elephant skin (so it would be aluminum>fiberglass>elephant skin>wood). Any thoughts on that?

Please and thank you .I like helping people so she does a good job on her camper .my name is Patrick but pat is okay. I want to by one like this only for me .I don't need a 36 40 foot camper .not for one guy .lol .my jeep would pull that no problem.
