People really are amazing!!! What a beautiful gift that gentlemen gave you. God blesses those who bless others. Awe, Tonya, that really touched my heart!!. Your goodness is coming back to you. I've told you before, your videos are very healing to many of us that are stuck at home. Blessings to you!!!❤❤❤🙏🙏🙏
How lucky you have such a beautiful loving aunt. I had 7 all whom have passed away. I wish with all my heart I could hug them and talk to them again. They were such a blessing in my life. Cherish yours she is truly a treasure. Love to you both
Thank you to Auntie for sharing your time and possessions with us!! I lost all my ancestors early in my life so I Really appreciate what she is doing with you!! Sending blessings!🤗
Thank you, Tanya for taking us all along with you. ❤️🙏 Always such a pleasure to see you and Auntie, the love and affection you share is beautiful. ❤️💐
I do hope that you are okay, I am a little worried that you haven't posted a new video in a while. I have so been enjoying your trips to the flea market and the visits with your Auntie.
Still waiting on new weekly videos. I watch on my tv streaming and last one was January 22 and only 6 for 2022. Most released same date or a month ago.
That Firkin may also be a Sewing/Knitting Notion box (likely from 40's/50's?). One common model has bucket (some come with a couple of bent wood strips horizontally wrapped around top & bottom of bucket) & mountable on 3-legged wooden tripod. Some have short thread spool dowels inside bucket, & hinged flippable lid. I saw a Firkin Sewing Bucket Tripod like mentioned above in beginning of one of your videos few months ago, while your camera was panning & became interested in this tripod bucket, searched the internet & found a vintage one - an exhilarating treasure-hunting, discovery, learning day! Thank you for all your passionate vintage/antique jaunts around Sacramento, northern Cali outdoor markets/barn+garage sales , I never knew till introduced by you.
Good eyes! I think I missed that one completely! Thank you so much for educating me, I really love learning from you all!!! So glad you're here 🥰❤️❤️❤️
Great buy on the corner cabinets, very stylish and wow about the story on Marion Davies at the Hearst castle. Like always thank you and your auntie for sharing.
@@LazyDIY-THRIFT hello Tanya, i cant lie im really missing your weekly videos and im really hoping that you and your family including your aunty with all her collections (God love her) are well and happy and i selfishly wish you'd make another video for us that we all love so much, hope all is well.
So delicious! I slowed the vid to the slowest playback possible to savor the jewelry, the lamps, the glassware, the hats (omg, the hats!)...then watched it all again on slow. I LOVE your Shop Alongs. I am starving, SO hungry to shop vintage & antique. A life long stress reliever, a self bribe/incentive builder now disallowed by my health. You however SEE & allow me to see rather than mandating we look only at what you have already determined is your bubble of interest. So exploration is defined & severely limited. I am grateful to any that do Shop Alongs but you are a true luxury. I love lighting, especially oddities. I'm always looking for lamp/light glass globes to use in building my frankenlamps. I take a compote, a copper bowl, a metal spiderweb basket... & put an electric candle* in it that uses a 5 watt chandelier bulb inside. Take an interesting glass globe from a ceiling light, a swag lamp... & put it over the candle. Affix a finial or hang glass grapes or crystals or lucite flowers çovering the cord. I have these frankenlamps everywhere. At 5 watt, I can place one in the bathroom, hallways...warm light 24/7 at little cost. My favorite is crackle glass globes, placed atop the refrigerator, the tall bookcases, & China hutches & the tall cupboards in my bathrooms. They spill & pool refracted warm light** across the ceiling, walls & good wood. I used to be able to find the lamp globes for a few bucks from Restore, Ebay & thrift stores but prices are outrageous & I am so limited now so finding them in the wild is no longer doable. I have lovely cut crystal globes in odd shapes, ufo, fenton globes from long gone hurricane lamps that I use in creating ambient lighting at eye level. *I use the electric candles from Joann's, Amazon... ** I've found an amber bulb shows warm but a clear white bulb shows more refraction. Because I don't want to see the bulb glowing inside the lamp rather than the light, I obscure the bulb with the fruit, flowers... there are amber colored plastic dipped bulbs that change bulbs into decor for window sills or chandeliers. Walmart sells red & yellow bulbs at Christmas meant to & fail to simulate flame but work beautifully in creating warm pools of light in the frankenlamps as well as the MCM glass swag lamps.
I was at the same Antique Faire & as a fan saw you filming in the mirror, just before that I saw myself in your video!!! I really need to stand up straighter when I walk!🥴. Thanks again for a fun video. I found a great mirror that day. Your Aunt is adorable!
Ok Here’s what I Love to see at a Vintage Antique Market: Anything Glass! China and Porcelain Dishes and Platters Tea sets with Tea Pots, (Most China manufacturing in England closed down) Silver and Silverplate Silverware and Serving Pieces, Lamps converted to electricity, Everything Victorian Everything Colonial and Primitives. Also Dolls and Books, Historical Book Collections and Childrens Books! Love Antique Linens! Colors: Blue and white porcelain and Victorian Pinks and Florals, Staffordshire English Pottery Btw….I have a similar scale for my kitchen. Thanks for asking!!!
Tell your Aunt that I've been the same way throughout my life about being camera shy, now my daughter's are complaining that they have no pictures of me. I was always the one behind the camera. .❤❤ She seems to be a blast!! You're both lucky to have each other!!!
Exactly!! I have the same complaint, but I'm working on her. She's getting a little more comfortable as we go. Pictures and video footage of our loved ones is the greatest treasure of all 🥰❤️❤️❤️
Dear Tanya, I hope you are well :D I havent seen your cheerful videos in the last weeks and I hope everything is ok I wish you love, health and all the best from Munich Manuela
Those corner cabinets are unbelievable! The blue swan, sigh, Pascha's blue thimble, all those tiny pieces are magical. So nice to hear you and your Auntie's lovely giggle and voices........I LOVE hearing the "dirt"............LOL
Tonya, you are such a delight to go shopping with! I’m so glad you got those corner cabinets!!!! And your Auntie is wonderful! I’m doing my best to give things away now too. And the saved thimble- such an everyday item with so much meaning! Your Great Great Aunt Pascha is looking down with joy at the two of you! Tell Auntie she has a following and I wish I could send her a bottle of port!
Such old& reminiscing items is such fun.Years ago we did this up in my father-in-laws house.3 generations of familys& things everywhere.Such great finds.👍🥰
Thanks for sharing another vid with us. I always smile when you wave into the mirrors when filming. 😀 It was so nice to 'meet' your aunt and nice that she is sharing your treasures with you. The little box that you were trying to identify (about 37:20) is Russian lacquer. The corner cabinets are a find and so happy you decided to adopt them and give them a good home. Looking forward to your next vid. Hello from WI.
Your relationship with your Auntie is goals 💜 I have two nieces under 10. I hope in 30 or 40 years, I can pass my treasures to them and have them be as happy about it as you are 💜
I hope so too! My Auntie started telling me about vintage and antiques when I was very young. That definitely helped me develop an appreciation 🥰❤️❤️❤️
Hi Tanya!!!!I just wanted to send you some love in case you need it...not that you don't deserve a vacation from TH-cam, but Just in case something else is keeping you from posting a video..I absolutely love you and your channel!!! Hi I live in Singapore and want to let you all know how blessed you are to be able to go to such big beautiful flee markets in such wide open surroundings. Only chance I have to visit op shops and flee markets is when I go on holiday to Australia. Now with Covid and not being able to travel for 2 years I miss them so much. Thank you for your video which I really enjoy and wish I was there as there are so many items I would love to buy. Wish you a lovely day stay safe and God Bless.
Omg, that 1997 Scooby-Doo cookie jar was $275. I'd use that glass relish tray at 9:10 to serve stacks of corn on the cob, with the little handles you press in on each side placed in the areas on each end. Those pins in the cases were SO beautiful.
I ❤ when you and your aunt get together love her stories of the olden days.(Did I hear give away.) 😆 lol.Thank you ladies.i love those corner cabinets. Beautiful.my kind of furniture.
Your aunt is so lovely, you and her should come to South Wales in the u.k. it's great here you would love everything here to fabulous scenery to really old buildings to our real old history, and huge mountains and nice Welsh people, I've been watching your life for a long time, your an angel, and now there's your lovely aunty, thank you for your interesting finds your so interesting in what you look for thanks. The corner hutches are to die for!! Really beautiful!! I love your Auntie!! She is really giving you a wealth of knowledge, especially about your family heirlooms!! I have ridden elephants in Thailand too!!
I love the little yellow and red Rooster Vase 6:09. I love Rooster's ceramics, I would "need" small-ish sizes as for display in my small kitchen, but I do like looking at the big size ceramics of Roosters. I would love to see 40's to 60's coffee mugs/cups the good solid styles you use to see in diners or part of a set. I like the size of these coffee cups/mugs as they were a little less than an actual cup - 8oz. Not the "canister-style" coffee mugs nowadays that you have the equivalent of 2 to 3 cups of coffee in one "serving". That's way too much coffee for me for the day - I don't want to clean my apartment 3 times in one day. 😄 I love good solid quality blankets, preferably with some color and style to them. And old-style heating blankets that still work - the quality and price is just not there anymore when you look in the stores today. It's funny when you pan across items on the tables or shelving units, sometimes I'm saying to the computer, "go back over, up to the left there - wait, wait, wait on the second shelf!" Is anybody else doing this too? Lol. 😁
So happy for you scooping up those corner cabinets your loved, and what a bargain price! No wonder you were pixilated, ha ha! I'm amazed you walked away from that awesomely gorgeous 20's/30's chandelier & sconces with amber glass shades for only $70!!!! I was drooling! As always, it's a pleasure to watch you with auntie re-discovering her little treasures. The little pottery animals (starting at 34:22) in cream and brown, and sometimes with bits of soft pastel colors too, are Rio Hondo of California. Look them up-- the teen bros started business in their garage to make money for their family! It's a great pre-war story. I've been collecting these for a few decades, but don't buy too often now. I have the ones you showed- could buy for $5 or so in the 80's, but now they're 3, 4 or more times that price, depending on rarity of the piece. Thanks again for the vicarious thrill of the hunt. I'll be so happy when I can go out again myself. Happy treasure hunting!

I'm laughing at myself because of all the things you showed us, both at the flea market and of your auntie's collection, my favorite thing was the little deer in front of the boot! The other glass deer was darling too. :-) I guess it truly is the little things in life :-)

Your corner cabinets are beautiful, I’m happy to took them home for many years to enjoy. I loved flea market shopping with you, I imagine the things I’d love to have. I’ll have my own place over the summer after a divorce from a bad marriage. I can do whatever I wish. So you make me so happy and upbeat. I’m moving to be with my family to heal, I’m a Auntie and can’t wait to be a part of their lives again. Watching time with your Auntie is precious. Your awesome Tonia and thank you for sharing.
Congrats on your new found freedom!!! I know it will be healing to reconnect with your family. Wishing you a future filled with love, happiness, and self-care 🥰❤️❤️❤️

Margaret.
Hi Margaret, from Florida! I am also a Margaret and have ancestors from your country. I visited there several years ago, Beautiful!🤗
Hey are you okay haven't seen you in a while?
The corner hutches are to die for!! Really beautiful!! I love your Auntie!! She is really giving you a wealth of knowledge, especially about your family heirlooms!! I have ridden elephants in Thailand too!!
Getting better and better! I just found out last year that my grandfather was a bootleggers! What a surprise!
I love good solid quality blankets, preferably with some color and style to them.
Wow I never seen a fur-kin before.. And thank you for explaining it to us.
Aww, can’t believe you got Auntie to agree to be on camera! Love seeing both of you and hearing stories about her treasures and our family. ❤️❤️
How fun … loving you and your auntie opening her treasures together from years past …💕

They have an art nouveau look. beautiful

Miss your videos.
Great video--love the tag closeups!
