Lokks fantastic. Only disadvantage to getting a pre painted body is those wheel wells are way to small to fit proper sized tires and actually function. Class 1 tires simply won't fit the stock wheel wells at full bump and lock. The most challenging part of building hard body prerunners is modifying the body to fit actual long travel suspension and to not limit travel. How is the quality/durability of the paint?
I’m pretty happy with the proportions of these tires and wheels, I would have preferred to run the proline BFG All Ts but like you said they are to big for the wheel wells. The paint is pretty durable from what I’ve seen, and I could certainly open the wells up without wrecking the paint. Currently I’m still in the process of deciding how to see the overall suspension. Ultimately I’d like some cage/tube work in the bed with a spare tire carrier system and that means the shocks will probably come up thru the bed as well then.
Can you elaborate on the modifications you had to do to the Shrink Rc Mounts as well as the rear link front mounts? Currently building a similar truck and need to figure out the trailing arm setup. Thanks!
wow, just what I needed, this is a must build now.
Fun build for sure
Looks awesome Mike! I just picked up the prepainted body for myself too🤙
Awesome ! You’re gonna love it.
