VISIT Lake Duluti Forest Reserve "A paradise for reptiles"

Lake Duluti Forest Reserve is located in the Northern part of Tanzania - Arumeru District, Arusha Region. The main tourist attraction
is the volcanic and green-colored water of the Lake. There is no
above-ground stream feeding it. The Lake receives water from underground flows. The Lake has an area of 62.3 ha and the deepest
point Is 700m and IS Surrounded Dy natural forest.
ECOTOURISM ATTRACTIONS
Apart from the Lake, the reserve has other ecotourism attractions
including reptiles like green mambas, and monitor lizards; different
bird species which include grey herons, fish eagles, cormorants,
ospreys and kingfishers. Other attractions include natural forests full
of different tree species that form beautiful scenery and a prayer
mountain
ECOTOURISM ACTIVITIES
For adventures, the reserve is suitable for kayaking, canoeing, sport
fishing, Bird watching, Forest walking, picnicking, camping, filming
photographing and worshiping,
ACCESSIBILITY
The reserve is located in Arumeru District near Tengeru town. It is 14km
from Arusha City and about one Km from Arusha Moshi highway.
SUPPORTING FACILITIES
Among supporting, facilities are canoes and camping sites. Accommodation facilities are round outside the reserve In Arusha City and Tengeru TOWNSHIP.
