I think suspended sentence is a powerful card because when you suspend it, it holds all opponents hostage, so they will not play creatures until it resolves, then it will slow the game.

Only problem in this deck is, that it only triggers Valgavoth once, the other times it resolves, it does in the own turn and then, while it is still good, does not trigger Valgavoth!

Sadistic shell game does have a good reason to be 5 mana. It gets around ward, hexproof, shroud and protection as sadistic shell game does not target. See that progenitus? Gone. Emrakul, the world anew having protection from spells played this turn? Imma CHOOSE that. Serra's Emmisary with protection from sorceries? No problems.
