Shadowside was pretty tame for a Yo-Kai Watch show. The plot is darker, yes, but we only have one scene of homosexual sadomasochism and it's way shorter than the one from season 1.

This is why I stuck through with this series, even with every unfunny toilet joke, there have been some really well timed and hilarious jokes, like the whole thing with gay Robanyan.
Good for Robonyan and B3-NK1, but god damn, they (mostly Robonyan) gotta chill when on air.

Yo-kai Watch is genuinely one of the only animes I can think of where the dub is infinitely better than the Japanese version. Sure, the Japanese version is still funny, but the way the dub is written sometimes takes it to a whole different level, to the point where it's basically shitposting for kids.
