  • The Hamburg U-Bahn is a rapid transit system serving the cities of Hamburg, Norderstedt and Ahrensburg in Germany. Although technically an underground, most of the system's track length is above ground. The network is interconnected with the city's S-Bahn system, which also has underground sections. It is operated by Hamburger Hochbahn within the Hamburger Verkehrsverbund (HVV). It was opened in February 1912,[4] and comprises four lines serving 91 stations, with a route length of 104 kilometres (65 mi) in 2012. ~wikipedia

3 U-bahn networks in Germany that I know of. Hamburg, Frankfurt and Berlin. Metro systems there are very connected

Heavy rail u-bahns are: Berlin, Hamburg, Nuremberg, and Munich. Frankfurt uses light rail so I don't think it is counted as u-bahn. Wonder if there are any germans who have an opinion on this?!

Miles Campbell Hamburg,Berlin,Munich and Nuremberg have "real Subway" that run with powerlines on the side's(don't know how to call them).
Frankfurt/Main has as many other german City a Stadtbahnsystem (Trams that run Underground at some points and powered by overhead powerlines)but we call Frankfurts Stadtbahnsystem an Ubahn and nobody knows why ;-) Some major citys with a Stadtbahnsystem are: Cologne(Köln), Stuttgart, Düsseldorf, the complete Ruhr-area has a connected System, and of course our "false friend" Framkfurt! ;-)

Did you think you can film Washington DC metro in 2017 because more 7000 Series are on the tracks.

I film D.C. Metro all the time even with the 7000 series present. I've never had any problems.
