Here's a big sign of how long this movie took to get made: the original script included a cameo by Amy Winehouse getting hit by a bus, which causes Wade to say everyone figured it would have been drugs that killed her. This naturally had to be taken out as the film was released five years after her death.
Deadpool's skin isn't burned that is his mutated stage 4 cancer. Basically, his cancer is constantly mutating and becoming more deadly and his accelerated healing is healing the cancer at the same rate. So, the lumpy greasy "burnt" look is actually just serious skin cancer. Just FYI.
That's the comics version. It looks like the movie version just got it from that tank thing and when the healing factor kicked in it just kept that as a status quo
@@0Quiwi0 The tank caused a traumatic event which gave Wade his powers and accelerated his cancer is how I interpreted the scene. But to each their own.
There is an awesome collection of Weasel's unused insults of how Wade looks when he first sees the transformed face. It goes on for nearly two minutes straight, and it's abolutely hilarious.
Actually Negasonic's powers in the film is from a different mutant named Cannonball. In the comics, she has mainly psychic powers, like telepathy and such.
I first saw Morena Baccarin in the 14 episode science fiction show, "Firefly" and its follow-up movie, "Serenity." I look forward to seeing the show's alumni in other projects.

Everyone thinks Deadpool is mad as he breaks the 4th wall. He does it in the comics and computer games Dumb facts Negasonic has different powers originally in the comics. Fox traded the rights to Ego to be able to change her powers Bob is supposed to be Bob, Agent of Hydra who is a ally of Deadpool but Fox didn’t have the rights to him so he is just Bob. Prior to Reynolds being cast, the comic once described Deadpool as “a cross between a Shar-Pei and Ryan Reynolds” The movie struggled to get funding. The disaster of Green Lantern significantly impacted it. Eventually they did some test footage using CGI to show what it would be like. The footage didn’t not impress Fox executives. Somehow the test footage was then leaked. It got a massive positive response and the studio green lit the film even allowing it to be R rated. Deadpool 1 and 2 are the top grossing movies in the X-Men franchise.
"If he got shot in the head would he heal from that", yes his healing factor is much much stronger than Wolverines, if the cosmic entity Death weren't involved about the only way Deadpool could die is if his cancer were cured then his healing factor would actually kill him. However Deadpool is one of only a handful of non-cosmic entities that has true immortality, Death has forbade him to enter her realm (she's also done the same with Thanos).
Actually, Death would welcome Deadpool in her realm as the two of them are a thing. When his healing factor was taken away from him by Weapon X, he died, they had a blast together, but was resurrected, cursed to never die, courtesy of Thanos who had a fit of jealousy. Thanos and Deadpool have worked out their differences after Death made it clear she loves the both of them for different reasons.
Lobo from DC comics (original not New 52) has the same deal with death. Far to evil for Heaven, and the Devil won't let him into Hell. His healing factor is off the charts as well. He can even regenerate from a single drop of blood.
My understanding is that both his body AND cancer are being cured. The tumors are also being grown indefinitely while his body heals. So his skin's deformation are the tumors constantly growing underneath
From what I know about what actually happened is that instead of just curing his cancer and having a natural evolution like Logan’s healing factor it pretty much created a super cancer that spread throughout his entire body. The cancer is still there but his healing factor is pretty much healing it and then it comes back right after. It’s a constant loop. It also pretty much fried his brain so he is literally insane.
Deadpool breaks the fourth wall because, in comic book canon, he knows he's a comic book character. He actually knows he's fictional and can do whatever he wants.
Francis was most likely funded by HYDRA. It's not explicitly stated in the movie, because it was made by 20th Century Fox, who didn't have the movie rights, and therefore couldn't use the name, but there are some big clues which imply that HYDRA is the organization backing Francis. First off, Francis was looking for a way to create mutant super soldiers through torture and experiments. This is very reminiscent of what HYDRA was doing to Wanda and Pietro in the MCU. Secondly, their base of operations at the end of movie is an old, decommissioned helicarrier, which ties them to SHIELD. Lastly, Bob, the guy Wade recognized as his friend during the end battle is a reference to the comics, where he's a comically inept, sad sack HYDRA footsoldier who just happens to become one of Deadpool's friends/sidekicks.
Francis stated that the real objective of the facility was to make Super-Slaves, which they would then sell to the highest bidder. He wanted Wade to understand that he could never go back to Vanessa and resume his life as it had been before.
@@robertjordaniii5813 HYDRA has also wanted to create super-slaves, as seen with Wanda and Pietro in the MCU. It's also not unheard of for HYDRA to sell off assets to the highest bidder, especially weapons like these super-slaves, to despots and warlords who are looking to overthrow their country's current leadership, because it helps destabilize governments/political situations, earning HYDRA money in the short run and making it easier for them to infiltrate those governments and gain control in the long run.

If you're becoming a Ryan Reynolds fan, check out Van Wilder. It's his early work, and it's basically what made him famous. After that, Ryan decided that if there was ever a Deadpool character in any movie, he was going to play it. Just some fun trivia.
