What's the use of this if I can't edit them or retain the features?

Hello, I did the same procedure in the video numerous times, but I was unsuccessful. Would there be any other method?

Thanks for this shortcut! How about if we wish to retain both the colors and the features from the original file?

Hi @Quinn - If you save as a neutral file the color is retained as the same in the original part(s). But not features.
If you use the GCRI method you can see the original features but they are read only and cannot be changed.
In short there is no way to get the features created in a newer release retrieved in an older release and be able to modify them.

good approach ! But we can simply save the assembly from CREO 6.0 as a STEP file so that we can open it from any version of creo. In both Step & GCRI approach, the files will be an imported feature. am i right ?

Hey I need some help with the purge, instance accelerator. I just need to know both. Which suits best then I might be able to decide. Presently working on large assemblies. There are 75 versions of main asseembly file. Help me decide. Thanks

Much fewer steps in just creating a step file and opening that.

I remember that creo7.0.0 has this file, but mine is 7.0.4
