I'm used to the choir singing this wonderful anthem but I got goosebumps listening to this beautiful voice and the harmony. I absolutely love this version so much. Thigh it's been almost 60 years since we sang this, I remember every word!
A magnificent song, beautifully sung. This is the song we sang as a high school graduating class. Had little idea then how closely the lyrics would fit the life experiences of so many of us in the years that followed. "And so through all the length of days, thy goodness faileth never."
This is so beautiful! I used to watch CBC Hymn Sing with my mom and I recognize those singers. It’s very difficult to find this hymn sung to this tune. Henry M. Vail composed it? We sang it in our choir a few years ago. th-cam.com/video/0g9y53mL654/w-d-xo.html

It is intended as a special piece--a duet or possibly an arrangement for choir-- not as a congregational hymn. So it's not a hymn tune per se. The lyrics are still sung to the tunes "Dominus regit me" and "St Columba".
