I love how Noé looks more like a cat than the actual cat Murr.
I think it was in the under-the-cover bonus for Vol. 8 of the manga; Mochizuki-sensei drew this short manga where she made cat or dog versions of most of the major characters, and human versions of Murr and this other cat. Noe was this extremely energetic Siamese cat who was super-friendly and got lost all the time. XD

初めてこの作品アニメで見たけど作画良かったし、細部までこだわってて凄かった
兄貴が「うっわ、BLぽいな、分かりやすっっ俺見る気無くなったわ」とか最初の方言ってたのに見終わった後には「このアニメいいな……原作って漫画だよな？買おっかな俺」とか言ってて笑った。

Right?! When I read the manga, the first few pages I thought Noé would be stoic, but I was so freaking shocked when it was completely opposite and fell in love immediately when he got super excited to see everything! 😍

@@川端博幸-z4t 物語は16世紀の終わりから17世紀の初めに起こったような印象を持っていますが、凱旋門は1806年に作成されたので、よくわかりませんが、詳細にすぎません。
やっぱりパンドラハーツの時もそうだけどこの人の作品は時たま現れるデフォルトがあるのが良い....

こんなにノエが新しいことにエンジョイしてるオープニングで、ちゃんとヴァニタスが付き合ってあげてて、本当に最高のオープニングだし、ササノマリイさんの声や曲もマジで神で、もうササノマリイさんが神様に思えてきた
0:49 makes me surprisingly emotional. The music and the visuals reaching a crescendo simultaneously really pulls you into the wonder that Noé must feel; every time I see it, it elicits this longing to travel that I'm not even used to experiencing.

The manga isn’t done and assuming we’ll get the answer to your question near the end of the story, not even manga readers know if he’ll actually die or if there’ll be a plot twist and he’s just gone but not “dead”. His death is also a pretty important underlying mystery so it’ll probably be awhile till the truth as to why and how it happens is revealed in the manga.
