what are you thinking of the oled switch so far is it worth the upgrade?
@@Mrtaco-bs1lg As someone who has already played in handheld mode about 95% of the time anyway since I've had my OG model...now that I've had my OLED for a month I can absolutely say that it is 100% worth the upgrade! But I would mainly recommend it to someone that primarily plays handheld such as myself.
The slightly bigger screen and the significantly improved battery life alone tho make it worth it, but man, the OLED screen is just gorgeous. Colors are very vivid and vibrant, and the screen is VERY bright...to the point where I'm at 50-75% peak brightness most of the time (indoors) to keep it easy on the eyes if playing a very colorful game (Pokémon, Mario, Zelda, Warioware, etc.)
Did you have to buy the whole game again ?
@@brekathleen7635 no you just sign on your account and redownload it on the new switch if you bought it digitally. Since its on your account you can download it for free

Thank you so much for posting this! Felt it much simplier than written instructions I found elsewhere. (I did have a little hiccup when I was told I couldn't log into the transfer tool cause my account was now on the new Switch but logging back in on the old helped!)

How do you open both transfer tools at the same time? When I open the transfer tool on one switch it suspends the tool on the other switch

Any chance you know why I can't have the island transfer tool open on my source switch and my target switch at the same time? It seems like I have to create an entirely new nintendo account just to use it on my target switch at the same time.. creating a second user is not enough because then it says I need to download the transfer tool, which I can't do unless I have it linked to a Nintendo account, which apparently can't be the same Nintendo account I've just transferred
TYSM I have been looking for a guide on how to transfer acnh data and any other game too I’m so happy that someone made a video like this I’m just relieved that you don’t need the residents account on both switch’s for the transfer for my island I already knew how to transfer save data besides animal crossing but knowing how to do both without stressing on how to is great! You made me so much less stressed!
Just another question does this also transfer Pokémon and Splatoon when you do the the transfer user? I’m only asking since NSO back ups aren’t supported on those games.

The problem I ran into is after I transferred my user data I can't access the eShop on the old switch because I don't have a Nintendo account linked

I had this same issue, but I signed into my account again on the old Switch, and it still let me transfer my island across OK. Hopefully you have sorted it too!

Thank you so so much! My left analog stick for my Switch Lite broke and my joycons weren't connecting to it. So, I had no way of playing without either transferring my data (which I was lost on) or ordering a repair kit (which I didn't feel like spending money on). Thanks again!

I created a new island on my new switch before this update was available and technically have to islands. If I transfer my old island to my new switch will I be able to access both islands whenever? Or will it over write the current (new) island. I’ve put so much work into both islands and I don’t want to loose one to gain another ;-;

On my old switch, after user transfer, it only has the default user. Si I can’t download anything from the eshop. Should I link mu account again to the old switch to download te ac transfer tool?
I don’t understand how to transfer if you’ve already moved your account to the new switch. It doesn’t allow the other accounts to play the island transfer tool. Do I have to put my main account back on the old switch?

When you do the animal crossing transfer does it need to be the same email or can it be a different one?

Do you have to have both consoles to do this? I’m staying with my mom for the summer and my switch/island is back home in a different state. I was wondering if I could have my dad go through this process with me on my original switch while I do it on my mom’s switch to transfer the data, or do the two switches transferring have to be locally together?
If you transfer the user, that user is no longer on the switch. So how do I transfer data?

Im confused, it logged me out of my old switch when I transferred stuff to my new one so now it just says user with my games still on my old switch. When i go to click the ac transfer tool, it says i have to log in?

Hi! I hope someone can help me with this question. I have two Switches and my sister was playing on the main one and I was playing on the Lite. I want to transfer my data over to the main Switch from my Lite, and she doesn’t really care about her save data from her switch. When I transfer island data, will it automatically write over hers? If this question doesn’t make any sense I can explain further haha.

I’m transferring my wife’s island to her own console so will transfer her profile then use my account to transfer to island as her account will no longer be on my switch. So i tried transferring my island.. but it’s giving me an error. It’s saying play is being suspended. Download software or downloadable content may be being played on another console. What should i do?
I cannot open two transfer tools at once. It only lets me open one and closes the other. I was rather disappointed. I'm guessing this is because there are 4 switches in our house and neither of the two I'm trying to transfer are the primary switch.
Wanted to know if I can switch back and forth between the two switches?

I noticed that you didn’t have Animal Crossing itself on your new Switch before transferring. Would I need to do that first or does this cover all of that? I bought Animal Crossing digitally on my 2017 Switch and recently got an OLED. I’ve already got my profile and save data for other games transferred.

This wont work for me, as i have the digital version and cant actually *transfer* the data, i already went to the eshop and it wants me to buy it again and i already transfered my data with the tool, so its basically just stuck there in the middle of the transfer process, making *ALL* of my island save data just gone forever, any advice/solutions?
