great scenario but i doubt Germany would leave only 150.000 men. Germany could mobilise massive amounts of men and the furthest they would go was probably a 2 to 1 disadvantage. Still, great video

Adding onto my previous comment, a germany that abandons the schliefen plan would certainly set their focus on dealing with Russia, the added german manpower and material on the eastern front would help prevent the huge setbacks the Austrians would have faced and the central powers would have had manpower parity or even superiority against the Russians considering how they performed against the Russians in our time line with far less troops and a much weaker austria, the war on the east would be over by 1916 or early 1917 with the central powers occupying Belarus, the Baltic states, poland,, much of Ukraine, Azerbaijan and Georgia
The central powers would have the initiative for essentially the entire war, facing no serious setbacks, this could prevent the Italians or Romanians to remain neutral or potentially even join the central powers when it became clear that they were going to win the war

    My third and final comment
Britain enacting a blockade on germany would be an act of war, and without the invasion of Belgium the war would not at all be popular with the public, the British instead would heavily finance/supply the Russians and French but this ultimately wouldn't do much to change the outcome of the war.
The British in 1915 or 1916 after serious gains on the eastern front would threaten the central powers with war if they don't agree to the peace terms (likely a free polish state, a Lithuanian state, a small byelorussian state and a small western ukranian state) and pulling all troops out of Russian territory
Austria would accept this deal but germany likely wouldn't, either way germany would still be thr favorites to win the war
The central powers can now transfer those troops from the east to the west much earlier than in our time line, this would also make exploiting eastern territories such as Ukraine for food much easier
The germans with the heavily increased manpower on the western front has multiple options,
    1. Just continue manning the French border and make a white peace with the entente as no side would be able to make considerable gains
    2. A late schleifen plan but with far more troops (they would be able to conquer all of Belgium and far more of Northern France than in our time line, this would also force the French troops along the border of esleß lothringen to either retreat or potentially be encircled, they would likely pick the first option)
I still doubt the germans would be able to occupy Paris but with then controlling all of Belgium and far more of northern France especially the industrial regions and multiple port cities, this could force the French to make peace

@@dragoe7441 God damn you're well documented... This scenario was mostly made for fun, but i really appreciate those corrections you made.. I will most probably make a video in the future thats more detailed and realistic, inspired by your comments. Anyways, thanks a lot for the time you gave out just to write all these things. Really appreciate it!

The Entente cordiale was well signed since 1903.
Britain didnt join just because of goodwill and wanting to protect Belgium, there was a big network of alliances and secret schemes before the great war, Britain wouldve joined anyways

  • @dragoe7441
    @dragoe7441 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

Both sides would not be able to make large gains on the western front, elseß lothringen and the French border region of lorraine were heavily fortified.
Also 150,000 men on the western front is just ridiculous, the central powers managed to have 250,000 - 2.5 million men on multiple different fronts during the great war, the germans would easily be able to man their French border with likely 700,000 - 1.5 million men and that combined with the fortifications would halt any French advance into germany

Why would denmark declare war on germany for north schleswig? Even in OTL denmark didn't wan't north schleswig, the Entente forced denmark to take the land.

@@mrjaman3752 germany could have easily won the great war with a much better grand strategic plan as explained in other comments I have made throughout this video
A germany that defended its French border with 800,000 - 1.5 million troops and focused its efforts on the eastern front with around 2.5 - 3 million troops would have had great effects on the central powers, the serious defeats on the east that austria faced would have been prevented, without austria and germany facing any serious setbacks nations such as Romania and Italy would have stayed neutral even potentially joining the central powers once it became clear they were the favorites, and germany would have had manpower parity or even superiority against the Russians (they managed to make considerable gains into the Baltic states, Ukraine, and Poland with a million less troops in our time line, a germany with material and manpower superiority would push far deeper into Russia)
The war in the east would likely be over by 1916 with germany and at that point the entente powers would see no use in continuing a war that is literally impossible for them to win

@@dragoe7441 U heavily underestimate the impact of the western front and the impact of technological change on the soldiers in the great war.
Not everything in the war was numbers.
The Russians had FAR more numbers than the Germans and still lost, just so you know

Germans are the largest ethnic group in the US, so if Germany didn't do anything ungentlemanly, the US might have come to the Kaiser's rescue.
