That's a fucking beast tune! It's a like a classic breakbeat compilation! Now I need to hear it in the right time and place on the right soundsystem on the right substances. I'm thinking maybe 4.45am, on a nicely tuned system with fat bass bins, in an unlicensed club night held under some railway arches, with condensation dripping from the brick roof, the smell of spliff mixing with the smoke machine, and some geezer selling red bull (and nothing else) off a bar made from an old door sitting on some breeze blocks. You'd stagger out into the dawn with your eyes like saucers and clothes steaming like you'd been partying inside a washing machine on the rinse cycle. Mmmm....
Really? Sounds all over the place and I understand that most dance music producers don't actually dance thus there music ends up full of gimmicks cliche drops nostalgic sound effects and zero creativity or musical tonality pretty much like this audio collage of sample mania and cultural appropriation. Sounds like noise or someone practicing on their sampler.... That dj gunshot sample is just a slap in the face really. 👎
@Seth Aguilar You listen to electronic music and complain about repetition and sampling? Funnily enough the only bit you got right is mentioning staples. They are staples of the genre.
@sethaguilar sounds like jealousy to me. Lets be subective here, read all the comments. Its a blinder of a tune. But hey, you know music and whether producers can dance or not......

Houndstooth it was a little more than you guys charge, but the individual also had the Pessimist s/t. I ordered it through Discogs. I just live in the US, so it's gonna be a bit expensive for me regardless.

beincheekym8 ? i'd say it's some subgenre of garage/jungle; some people call stuff similar to this 128 jungle (although obviously those tracks are at 128bpm and this sounds more like 135ish) so maybe 135 jungle?

The bigger question is why wasn't Vapour released on the vinyl album?
Wish this had a vinyl release, Rob Booth told me there would be on the RA comments when they reviewed the album :(
Yeah, back in Aug 2013 Tessela was going to release a 12" version with this on, but things changed. I doubt this will ever see wax now. :(
