Hi! I am planing trip to istanbul from oslo in my ioniq 5, i am bit concerned about charging on the way can you give any tips as to where to charge and road tolls and also charging in istanbul, thanks
Hi, i would recommend you to use the app "a better route planner". There you can type in your car model and it will come up with the available chargers on your route. It depends which countries you will pass through, in some countries you have to pay cash for tolls e.g. Serbia, Croatia. While for some countries you have to buy vignette e.g. Austria, Slovenia, Bulgaria, Hungary, Turkey etc. You find vignette shops soon after you enter the border of the country.
Great video, im planning the same trip in few years.
Did you use the E sarj App only? How did you start the charging session?
Thanks @Ozan FB, a Turkish friend helped me with starting Esarj charger. You need to have a Turkish mobile phone number to register. Alternative is that you call them and they start charging for specific time (1hr or 2 hrs) and they deduct from your credit card. Ideal is that you order RFID key from them, that is the best option. For ZES you only register in the app, you don’t need Turkish phone number, you add your credit card in the profile. You scan the bar code with your app and charging starts
