Really breaks your heart to see a clip like this only having 50 views. Considering clips with random cats who surely did nothing to save the world (or people eating soap who undoubtedly did even less) having hundreds of thousands, one cannot help but ask if the world was worth saving at all... Having worked in television for over 25 years I've suffered countless people saying "We can't just have a bunch of talking heads" and I always thought bugger that, if the story's good people will watch. And lo, I was right! I've watched every one of these clips and they are absolutely wonderful, can't stop viewing! However, here's a man with countless of interesting and amusing stories to tell and the fool of an interviewer keeps trying to have him talk about his stupid childhood and other things he clearly doesn't want to talk about. Irritating, but a good lesson in how not to interview someone. Interestingly, this particular clip had 50 views before I started watching and still has 50 after I watched it twice...

I agree thanks for your comments perhaps the video is so long! About 5 hours of interviews. People have shorter attention spans now!

Interesting comment about the lack of experience in the higher ranks in the early days of the war. The RAF really had to learn as they were engaging the Germans. The Germans,of course, had already fought through Poland and Northern Europe as well as Spain.
