The balls do nothing to improve water pressure, they act the same way as zeolite balls do in water softener and combimates etc. In that they prevent scaling on metallic surfaces which is essential for the longevity of this product. Given how small the holes are they would become blocked with scale rather quickly. The water pressure is exactly the same, it's just that it's now terminating via a much smaller hole meaning velocity has increased... Just like placing your finger over the end of a hose pipe. So if the manufacturer claims this they are talking bollocks!

We have no problem with pressure (3 bar hot and cold) but the shower head on our current shower uses far more water than the old head of an old electric mixer shower (we have two showers).

If it getting bottle necked at the holes than I'd agree but there's that air pocket after the stones, that tells me it is under solid pressure to pass through the stones, if it wasn't tough for the water to pass through the stones than the water wouldn't need to build pressure again at the actual nozzle
I think the stones are more for infusing minerals though I'd imagine. They might add some restriction but it's probably negligible. There's better ways to build high pressure, thats probably just a secondary purpose of them
Got one like that but gone back to Mira eco shower head, why? The jets of water on this one are fine, they therefore lose a lot of heat quickly and make a lot of steam. The Mira feels hotter on the same setting and does not steam up the bathroom so much. Thats because it entrains air into the flow, giving lots of droplets. Not fine jets. It works better. The coloured balls are a gimmic. They do nothing noticeable

I'm reluctant to spend money on such a thing. Though I am concerned about the bacteria and other things in the water. Can you do another review, to prove it is cleaning the water as it claims?
The claims they are making are false. It wouldn't be able to increase water pressure, for example. Claims of purifying the water are also most likely false, the water passes through it too quickly.
Also I don't know about increased pressure but it does seem to flow a lot better than the old shower head. That could have something to do with the design of it though more so than it actually increases any pressure
I hate that it doesnt ship with a way to mount t the shower head to the pipe that comes out of the wall.. no bracket nothing.. plus they kind of pissed me off by blocking my comments on facebook after asking why they dont ship with all needed to mount up....
I just wanted to give a comment on my experiences, I live overseas in you could say a third world country. I bought one of these recently physically it looks very similar to yours but mine doesn't have a switch to change settings. I live in a rural area with very hard water. I noticed right away that my hair and skin felt softer after the shower and the water quality seemed better compared to the old shower head. Unfortunately I only use this thing a few times and today when I turned on the water the end of it sort of just popped off. I screwed it back together but it happened one more time during my shower. I'm not sure why it would do that. I didn't have the pressure valve opened all the way. Compared to the old shower head this one does have a lot faster and better flow of water. It was relatively cheap but I was expecting at the last more than a month before it starts popping off. I was able to put it back together but I have a feeling one of the times when it's popping it's just going to break and I'll be unable to screw it back together. But if you live in a country that has access to First Quality Goods I think this might be worth the purchase but they could have a better build quality so don't be surprised if it doesn't last a long long time.
Our master bathroom has a standing shower with handheld shower head. We started to see some rust spots in the hose not to mention heavy mineral built ups in the shower head because our house has very hard water despite water softener we have. My wife picked out this handheld shower head to replace our old one because she loves the brush nickel finish to match our bathroom decors but this turned out to be very impressive handheld shower head. Although I have replaced shower heads many times in the past, it came with nice instruction on how to replace it for those who's not familiar with it. My only advise would be to use wrench to hold the base spout when removing and installing the holding adapter so you don't accidently twist and damage the base pipe when you over tighten it. I really appreciate that it came with plenty of plumber's tape because you really want to put that on before connecting different parts so that there's no water leak in between threads. This is one of most common mistakes and reasons why there's leak after installing it. Very happy to see that they have provided plumber's tape to remind you to use it! It also had rubber rings/washers in each connector but it also came with extra one, which is nice. They also included a shower drain cover to prevent hair from going in to the drainage, which is a nice bonus. I really love the brush nickel finish, which makes it look elegant and expensive. The 7 different water spray setting is nice to have so you can change it for different purpose. We will most likely leave it on one setting for most of the times but it's nice to have option to change it when needed, such as jet spray for cleaning the shower wall, etc. After replacing the shower head, I didn't see any leak and the stainless steel hose feels sturdy. Theres good and bad bacteria, think of a fish tank filter. Both this shower head and fish tanks use what is called "Bio-media" which is a place where good bacteria thrives so it can out compete bad bacteria. Hopefully that helps :)

This is not the stone stream head it’s just a cheap amazon one. The Stone stream has a filter mesh and a stainless shell button to stop the water. This shower head is rubbish and blocks up every month.
Jim O Brien the original one has a button on the actual head that you can press that turns the water on and off. Plus is has an inner mesh to stop any limescale from travelling through and blocking the head which this cheap one doesn’t.

You can't stop the water entirely but you reduce it, and it squirts out in a suddenly really high pressure stream?! When the flow has a limited volume but a high supply pressure you can indeed increase the pressure by decreasing the flow. But you are right, if this was supply side increasing the pressure would increase usage, but this isn't supply, this is an output!

Yeah I wouldn’t recommend slapping this on an electric product. That 200% boost and less water usage is a restriction on the water flow paths. That means the back pressure is increased in the unit... your shower could blow its pressure relief device. Could be a service call.

So an electric shower has a heater element that will have a maximum pressure rating. This is so the heater can doesn't fail. It can be dangerous if a unit has back pressures outside of its design operating conditions.

just bought one of these, the pressure has improved but no way by 200%, this is due to the tiny holes in the head. all in all i'm pleased with it.

Theres good and bad bacteria, think of a fish tank filter. Both this shower head and fish tanks use what is called "Bio-media" which is a place where good bacteria thrives so it can out compete bad bacteria.

Yeah I wouldn’t recommend slapping this on an electric product. That 200% boost and less water usage is a restriction on the water flow paths. That means the back pressure is increased in the unit... your shower could blow its pressure relief device. Could be a service call.

@@ocvegasproperty yeah that's a good example of how a water path way can be adjusted to make it more restrictive, this will increase the pressure but it will impact its back pressure. so seeing a noticeable increase in pressure on the exit will also mean an increase in pressure on the opposite direction. So an electric shower has a heater element that will have a maximum pressure rating. This is so the heater can doesn't fail. It can be dangerous if a unit has back pressures outside of its design operating conditions.
So it will 100% blow an imaginary pressure relief ”device” as soon as he turn of the shower?

so you mean to tell me that an electric shower doesn't have a pressure relief device. So there isn't a small rubber ball or a burst disk attached to the outlet pipe or the heater can. These are set to protect the unit from bursting. you know when say... if the shower head is blocked or if the hose kinks. Please just google A shower PRD replacement. Or TH-cam it.

The improvement does not reflect the price of it. Paying premium on a difference, but the difference is miniscule. Nowhere near 200%, more like twenty percent!
The only reason it has higher pressure is because it has less holes and a smaller surface area than your old showerhead - they say in the ad 200% pressure lol
