The Railgun has its strengths on the Bot front, one-shotting Hulks and Devastators and punching through Scout Strider armour with ease, but with a glaring weakness vs Gunships, which require too many engine shots to be practical. The Commando plugs that gap nicely, having enough shots to take out 4 gunships in a row if you hit the engines, or 2 if you go for the body, and its disposable nature means you can call it down when needed while benefitting from the Railgun's strengths vs everything else.
With those two taking care of heavier enemies, that means I can bring the Diligence Counter Sniper, an exceptional weapon for one-tapping Troopers and one-headshotting Devastators. 3 specialist weapons each with their preferred enemy niches makes for a very fun build.

Build:
We're using the Railgun for one-tapping Hulks (aim for the eye, safe mod will do) and Scout Striders - stun nades make those Hulk kills a little easier, so bring a Grenade Pistol for Fabricator vent shots. Rocket Devastators are also ideal targets, though you might find Heavy Devastators a little trickier with the Railgun's admittedly poor scope.
The Diligence Counter Sniper has those trickier shots covered at any range, and is also a Trooper one-tap machine. Its scope seems to be one of the few that's properly zeroed, making those headshots incredibly satisfying.
The Commando I'm mainly bringing out for Gunships, the homing ability making it very nice for directing missiles into the engines - the cooldown is low enough that you'll have opportunities to use it vs Tanks, Turrets and Fabricators too, in a pinch.
The Railcannon Strike and 500kg are our tank busters and Strider slayers - while the Orbital Precision Strike is arguably better than the Railcannon, its tracking ability comes in handy with the call-in time penalty, and means you can easily take out Hulks in emergencies without any stuns required. The Muscle Enhancement armours also make it easier to land those 500kgs on Factory Striders while staying safely in cover.

I like how each of your weapons played a role on which targets to destroy. I'll probably run the commando more to go with weapons that aren't the AC/AMR, but I still need to practice steering the rockets into the swerving gunships.
Yeah, it's not the easiest but so satisying to pull off. For whatever reason I find it easier than the BT 2-shot
As an Xbox player, I get so jealous watching you guys play this game. It really, really sucks that it’s a PS exclusive. I guess that’s why I watch this channel. 🙂
Agreed, I would love to play with my Xbox friends, there is no reason other than Sony being stubborn to bring this game to everyone who wants to play!
I really hate exclusives. In my case there's been a lot of games that I missed out on and it's not like it made me buy the console / platform. Hopefully they bring it to Xbox soon!

Honestly I was an xbox fan for 10+ years, but after moving over to PC I'll never look back. You get all the games that come out on xbox, almost all the games thar come out on PlayStation - even the new gen exclusives if you wait a year - and an INFINITE amount of games that are only on PC. It can be expensive upfront, but you save SO MUCH money on the same games you'd be buying for console anyway that you end up spending much less in the long run and they perform so much better. I really can't recommend it enough
@@newspiked7385 funny because there is that recent attempt of them trying to make the push still fresh in our minds (which ended very badly) but im still holding up hope for xbox players having a slice of that helldivers pie
You really need a jumpack for getting over those walls & up and down the fortresses. It helps alot

I think there is a "cast time" on using the backpack.
Whenever i supply myself or others i can cancel it by pressing the sprint button. I think other actions might work as well, but moving without sprinting does not cancel it in my experience.
Yup there is a short animation when you use it, I keep cancelling it by sprinting before it's done
I press and hold, to be sure.
Yeah, that must be it. Really annoying, same goes with the reload bug where it buffers a reload input then carries that over to a different gun you switch to.
how do you toss a SEAF artillery missile on PC?
Press E to pick it up and before it reaches your hands, switch to your weapon. That throws it forwards.

Serious question, is there a trick to aiming the commando? I tried it last night and the missiles were blatantly curving AWAY from whatever i was aiming at. I couldnt hit hulks standing still directly in front of me, and aiming directly at fabricators too i was consistently missing.
That's...strange. It should home in on whatever you're aiming the laser at, though the missile does need to travel a certain distance (20m? 30m?) before the homing kicks in.

The diligence is not the tenderizer. It'll do work for you but slower considered shots is the way. Same principle with the HMG, lower the RPMs.
Should bring to xbox tbh!! Imagine the amount of divers!!!

My favorite for Railgun builds has been supply packs. Can just unload on dev and strider groups wihout a care. Add in thermites and commando, and can deal with just about anything. 🫶
