@@tshokolokubakuba2396 They were all in freedom square. But let's see if your man will deliver on his promises. Bear in mind that people who voted for him were not necessarily his supporters, they just wanted change from the Masisi regime.
Listening to Saleshado, i didnt pick any bitterness...i think we should give the man a big up for not being bitter rather than accusing him for being bitter. It is a challenge not to do well in elections , and this is not his first time to loose, but the man has courage to come back to try again and again with a quest to deliver what he believes will chathe life of Batswana for the better.....very few people can survive the beatings he has endured, perhaps the reason why his party continues to ELECT him to lead...he didn't put himself there like some think. Contrary to being accused as bitter, he clearly congratulates President BOKO and wishes him well on his Agenda to take Batswana to a better tomorrow.
The change in the Botswana government has been characterized by increasing concerns about corruption, nepotism, and authoritarian practices. Allegations of corruption and mismanagement have led to public disillusionment and protests against the ruling party. Additionally, issues such as unemployment and economic challenges have intensified calls for accountability and reform. The leadership's perceived arrogance and failure to address citizens' needs have contributed to growing frustration among the populace. This atmosphere has fostered demands for greater transparency, improved governance, and a more democratic approach to leadership. The shift reflects a broader desire for change in response to systemic issues that have affected the country’s political and economic landscape.
the udc leader said the 4k can be managed in the formal sectors not informal sectors and that most companies can manage and they are going to encourage them to pay their employees well
I agree with my brother dumelang seleshando for saying the truth about africa being independent in terms of manufacturing raw materials into finished goods.
My only problem with him meaning Mr Saleshando is that he believes that the only time things are done right is when he's at the helm and that his Political Science studies give him the adjudicator status of what democracy is as he often refers to books and other democracies elsewhere not knowing that the books he quotes are not dogma but rather a reference to be scrutinized and if allowing adpated as circumstances may render but it doesn't mean that you cannot tinker with it to the settings that seem to work for the situation you are faced with. Changing leaders of the people's project would have killed it at that time I know this for a fact because most of us rallied behind Boko and so him as the face of the organizations. So there was no way we could have accepted him should he have took the seat Boko had. It was simply dangerous for that organization and unwarranted as the major objective was not met so why be impatient with the process.

First of all, your line of questioning is debatable, and I find it to be some witch hunt. Isn't this too soon for all these charactes when Batswana are enjoying the new shift? You are heading for a dead end in your intentions, and Botswana will thrive. PULA!!
I've never listened to anybody sounding so subtly bitter about a party they were in before. The UDC have done something historic and instead of showing support towards the regime, he seeks to subtly speak lowly whilst being prissy at the same time. It really makes you question his intend of being a leader..Is it to genuinely lead Botswana to greater heights or its just a hunger for power??? you say so because he wants to lead where there's already a leader. Now here is an analogy to the real story behind these two. Boko took him in and took him to Parliament when he had previously lost. Upon him being taken in and winning the 2019 constituency seat while Boko as the leader lost, he then wanted to topple Boko from his party seat. The analogy I was talking about is this, when a man finds you homeless on the streets and takes you in, after settling in comfortably, do you then turn around and tell him that he is not man enough to be the family head because maybe his kids or wife find you to be likeable? That's what he did this power hungry Judas.
@@bensonselebogo2768Your analogy gives the impression that the UDC is Bokos personal project and not a national one and such he can't be questioned or challenged. If that's the case, you're right and Saleshando was justified to leave the coalition.
What does the BCP constitution say about President term of Office or is Dumelang a life President....the BCP came into the elections anticipating to win atleast 31, that was the focus, therefore getting 15 should is better but still a poor performance by the BCP, why would you talk of consolidating the party's presence in the political landscape now, where did you get the confidence that you will be the party in power, get 31 seats atleast
There's too much inaccuracy in Saleshando's analysis as to why people voted for the UDC. And i sense too much bitterness from him contrary to his assurance that he has no regrets over leaving UDC. He should respect the voters, how can people vote for something that can destroy their lives over some petty issue like wanting to punish their former party? This was the youth saying we want something better, new ideas, new leadership and the UDC said we can be that change, we have those ideas so we voted for that.
Some of us wanted to Punish the BDP because it had gone too far in terms of recklessness💯 Not necessarily that UDC is better. And if there was a party that had a chance, it was UDC because it's a union of different parties. Duma Boko hasn't shown a great political leadership in his party nor when he was an MP. The man didn't show up for meetings or his electorate.
Why are you not asking this guy if his manifesto was on point. Why was he rejected by the people? He should desist from blaming the new president and being negative before the guy has even started work. I thought he would be positive and be prepared to work with the new government since it managed to remove a system that was ruling for 58 years.
