It's a Pronghorn Jig. I have the same jig and I really like it. Unfortunately, they are no longer available. But if you are mechanically inclined, they can be made fairly easily. At the time they were available, they were the best jig for the money in my opinion. My string lengths turn out on the money every time and I can add up to 400 lbs of tension to equalize all the strand right after doing the loop servings, before twisting and doing end servings. It makes a very stable string. I feel lucky to have acquired one before they became unavailable.
From what I've seen they only make a few fps difference. I do install them on most that I build, but more as string dampening. That's just my "unprofessional opinion ". I've shot them with and without and really didn't see a noticeable difference. Hope that helps 💪🏹
@@bryantoothaker1130 That's EASY if you do a single color. Make the cable TWICE as long PLUS 1/4" and with HALF the strand count. Serve it for an end loop in the CENTER, Then FOLD IT! The two ends become your split yoke. For two color, you simply serve for the end loop at one end and separate the two colors at the opposite (yoke) end. Serve each color separately for the loop, then serve in the loops for the yoke. Then twist the string as you normally would and then serve the other end. I do solid color strings because the folded bus cables are much more solid. Being easier to build is just a side benefit IMO.
I just subscribed to your channel.
I definitely appreciate your attention to detail and your professionalism. 👍
I appreciate that!
Is this a homemade jig? Great info by the way!

How important are speed knocks and do you install them on a new string

@@WadesSwampDonkeyArchery thanks
You ever thought of doing a video of how to make a split yolk cable
No I haven't thought if doing that. The could I made was just basics. Guess I could do one of those.
