16:46 To the left there is a restaurant called "Bistro" where four years after this video Lisanne Froon and Kris Kremers had breakfast on the terrace. Later, they went hiking on the Pianista Trail and disappeared in the woods.

Im from Panama City but my parents own a house in Alto Lino Boquete, the narrator did a wonderful work describing Boquete, the video quality is pure class. I watched the full video and i felt at the end that i just came home from Boquete.

Thank you for sharing beautiful Boquete. You did a great job . My family used to live in Panama at Albrook Air Base back in 1994-1997. We went all over Panama, but never made it to Boquete. We retired early, so we could travel and hopefully live in Panama or Costa Rica part-time.

    Thanks lee
    Very entertaining
Around 1965 my mom dad and I drove from the CZ to Boquete looking at homes to try and entice my dad to retire there
I loved it I was still in HS in Balboa. We stayed at a hotel between two rivers
It was cool and I really fell in love with the place
We visited a widowed lady called endearingly “ mamacata” she had a coffee plantation up on a side of a mountain
I’m retired now living in California
    Take care
    God bless y’all

I basically do this using Google Maps street view. It's not as fluid as a video but hella helpful. Went on a trip to New York and stayed in Times Square. It was cool walking straight out of the hotel and knowing where to walk as if I'd visited before.

Very much like this calm and informing drive through the bustling town of Boquete (Panama), as if you were seated yourself on a motorbike, humming about. Wish Lee Zeltzer could walk El Pianista path for us - all the way down to the end - and follow the footsteps of all the young people that became interested in the landscape, flora and fauna of this rough trail. As a tribute to the beauty and uniqueness of these surroundings and "the 2 girls" and others that have been claimed by the tropical forest.

Great video just visited boquete for my first time last month and I was born in panama but grew up in the states... as for the people asking about racism in panama its not so much racism to any race as much as it is history, some americans from back in the 60's did alot of things to rub panamenians the wrong way for example they wouldnt allow a pamamenian flag to be flown next to an american flag in front of a school or any other office building and also panamenians didnt think it much of a party to have their biggest city invaded in the 80's over one guy it was called operation just cause and civilians died and naturally there are some people who still recent americans for that... for the most part americans with some roots here or proper EDUCATION as to why things are like they are are loved in Panama it why its concidered one of the top places to retire in central American because its english speaking friendly ESPECIALLY boquete, and yes I will say panama owes alot if not most of its progress to american culture if you come and see it for your self you will see it here very strongly... now as to some of the questions boquete is like an equivalent of Helen, Ga or any other small touristy type town in the US actually its allmost identical witch is why americans love it ther and also because of the weather its one of the cooler places in panama witch mostly stays in the 90s 80s year around im not exactly sure the average temperature of boquete but a sweater or a light jacket comes in very usefull.. again this is a touristy/retirement type town so if your looking for something like gyms a movie theares and malls dont worry you wont find it in boquete but David with is the metropolitan city there has all the bells and whistles everything from TGIF to McDonalds to Ace Hardware to Office Depot and so on and so on, housing in boquete is amoung the most expensive in Panama so up and moving there isnt just as easy as hoping on a plane its also allmost seven hours from the capital... beyond that I think I pretty much covered everything but if you have any questions ask a panamenian, other citys to visit are Veraguas, Chitre, Las tablas, El Valle, Penonome, Colon, just to name a few to get an idea of other touristy panama towns

You must not be of African Panamanian to say that there is no so much racism in Panama. I heard the story of an Afro Panamanian who graduated from Harvard University with a degree in law and he returned to Panama to practice law there and when he went for a job interview he was told by the interviewer that everything was great about him academically but that he wasn't going to be hired by that law firm because he didn't fit in that law firm When I went the last time in 2011 I was denied service in some restaurants in Panama City for the mere fact that I was Black. I was just ignored and they sent me a clear message that they didn't want people like me in their restaurants even if I could afford it. I had to go with friends and relatives who are not Black in order to be served in certain restaurants. Racism in Panama has not disappeared and a well educated Afro Panamanian has very little or no chances to advance in the private sector or in government and that is why most Afro Panamanians emigrate to the U.S. in search of a better future and most of them end up staying in the U.S. for the rest of their lives. A friend of mine who is Afro Panamanian went to Panama to buy a piece of land to build a fast food restaurant and he was told by the authorities that the particular piece of land that he was interested in was not for sale and that the city would not allow any improvements on that land. Three months later there was foreigner building a restaurant on the same piece of land. What do you call that? Panama caters more to European descend foreigners than Panamanian citizens especially Afro Panamanians. I have nothing against U.S. citizens regardless of race who decide to move to Panama and live there, my beef is with the government and the private sector in Panama.
