I wish that I saw this video before purchasing the Saatva Classic Luxury Firm. I'm a 5'7", 145 lbs back sleeper, and this bed is too firm for me causing shoulder pain. My partner who is a 6'0", 185 pound back/side sleeper also found this bed to be too firm. I'm returning it for the Plush model. Fingers crossed

Let us know how it goes. I’m a back and side sleeper. And I’m used to a firm tight top spring mattress. But I’m starting to feel some shoulder pain. My husband is lighter and love the firm bed.

I purchased the Saatva Classic Luxury Firm three years ago and I am about 250 and my wife is about the same. We've had it for about three years and I feel disappointed. It feels too firm and I feel a sharp pain in my pelvis as I tend to be on the slim tall side and don't have a lot of meat on my bones around that area. Wish I would have went with the soft plush. I was afraid of sinking into the mattress and developing back pains from lack of support but plush soft is like a 5 between 1-10 scale and the luxury firm is more of a 7. I've also noticed light indentions where we sleep. While the company does have a lifetime warranty it's only on manuf defects that's doesn't help me. They do allow you to replace it at a faction of the cost on a bigger sliding scale for how long you owned it but you have to get the same exact mattress so I think I want to move on to another brand altogether.

Best video review I've seen over the past three weeks of researching mattresses. JD was awesome!

Either the luxury firm, or firm would be best for people with back / hip pain, and any mobility issues. I have pain, and some mobility issues. When I tried the RX plush soft mattress, I nearly fell out of bed because the sides have absolutely no support. You sink way down, and the mattress is uneven from one end to the other. You sink too far, and the sinking makes it nearly impossible to turn over during the night. It causes worse back pain. I can’t for the life of me figure out why people are recommending the soft for people with mobility and back problems. It’s literally opposite of any support.

Would you say that the plush soft is still supportive enough for someone with back problems?

Hello, I have the plush soft and I don't think it's plush or soft at all. It's definitely supportive enough if you have back problems. The Saatva classic rates this one a 3/10 on the soft side. I would say it's a 7/10 😞. I'm pretty disappointed in how firm it is and the motion transfer is pretty bad. I'm 6'3" 195lbs and have had the mattress for 4 months.

@@ryanh.9799 So you think that the plush is not really soft? We just ordered the luxury firm but it sounds like we need to ask for the plush soft instead - are you having issues and going to return it?

hey there, did you stick with the not so soft "plush soft" ? I was speaking to a rep at Saatva and despite 20 surgeries, 2 spinal fusions, and complaints about everything being too firm, she's suggesting a luxury firm but the comments had me about to push the button on plush soft...@@ryanh.9799

How is it in the 11.5 inch height ? The 14.5 does not work with an adjustable base so the 11.5 is my only option.

The 11.5 medium firm works great with my adjustable bed base. Thankfully I prefer it to a deeper mattress.

which firmness would be best for a 5'4" 250lb person with mobility issues? my partner has ms and it is difficult for her to move around on a mattress if she sinks into it to much. she is a side sleeper and her biggest issue with mattresses is the side support and the feeling of sliding out of bed. i was thinking of trying the firm mattress, but am unsure...maybe we will try the luxury firm?

Get the Soft plush which is a 5/10 in firm rating which will give you enough support. I got the luxury firm and regret it.. it's too firm
