I keep a “single sock” drawstring bag in my sock drawer and it’s really helped me tremendously. When I go to fold fresh laundry I just bring out the whole bag and match the pairs! It also helps me keep track of the ones that never get matched 😊
One great question to ask when decluttering is "will I try to save it if I got wine on it?". If the answer is no, maybe let go? 😄

Wow i wish i had a reason whenever i don’t want something clothing wise i just say it’s ugly 😂
could you hang up your pants or some of your other clothes that are currently folded in the hanging organizer? Then you could put your baskets of undergarments in the hanging organizer for easier access :)

I believe the IKEA stuk box with compartments can help you organize your undergarments & folded clothings
I think hanging is So much easier than folding! If you hang some more tops or pants you would be able to put your under garments in the cubbles!
I find the clothes sagging and losing their shape :(

I love decluttering so much it actually kind of backfired on me. Trying to actually put more in my wardrobe and working to find my style, be intentional and thrift if possible! I haven’t been on the other end of minimalism in a long time so wish me luck!! 🤍
It took me until this year (moved in early 2018) to get my side of the closet into a system that worked for me so you'll get there! I really dislike the same kind of shelving that our closet has, except for whatever reason my side has the shelving up a little higher so I had to figure out a way to hang things that wasn't making laundry a pain. Hoping to get rid of those and have permanent shelving one day. Always enjoy your clothing declutters and am looking forward to switching seasonal clothes soon, though I think I am pretty spot on for what I want to keep now.

Curious why you put your off season clothes in a tub when you have enough space in your closet to have them out all the time? 😀
I don’t know the answer for Ashlynne, but I personally don’t like looking at things I’m not currently using. :) Plus it keeps it from getting dusty and losing its shape.

You may have mentioned this, but where do you keep jackets and coats? In a separate closet by the front door? I imagine you have a big coat for trips to Canada!

I wish you the best in this channel and in your life; you are very wisdom-filled for the age of "twenty-something" and I think you are a great example to many in so many areas! Well done :) :)

I personally would hang up all tops and sweaters and I would put the undergarment bins in the folded clothes organizer

Idea for your baskets.
Put them on the floor. I’m short and struggle to reach the top shelf of my closet. I have a very small closet so I got a metal shelf that can store my purses as well.

Great video! I'm also a visual declutterer. I've kept my clothes decluttered mostly by having the smallest closets where I live x)
You have more than enough space to hang up clothes that you've folded and then you can use that hanging organizer for your socks and undergarments. That way you wouldn't need to buy any furniture that would clutter up the closet. Good luck with settling in the new space! 🧡

You have definitely inspired me to de-clutter my clothing and everything else. I’ve been on this new journey for about 6 months now and I get rid of more and more stuff. I still definitely own too many clothes but as I’m getting inspired and this new mindset is setting in, I find myself letting go of more and more ...as a matter of fact I dropped off 2 bags at the donation center today! It feels so good ! It’s sooo freeing !!!! I can honestly say that I have de-cluttered 80% of my belongings so far and there is more to de-clutter !!!! Thank you for being such an inspiration to me😍 I don’t know how I used to live this life ‘drowning in stuff’. Life can be so much simpler and more enjoyable once we get rid of the excess...

TH-camr The Organized Soprano, has several closet type organization videos. She used to work at the container store and has many great suggestions. She moved within the last year also. She also has some great bathroom and kitchen organizing videos also
Me, watching old declutter videos of you at 12 am and than a new one pops out to me😃
I own 15 sweatshirts and I'm struggling to part with any of them, hopefully these videos chip away at that part of my brain lol, the rest of my wardrobe is minimalist AF and I'm really proud of it, but the sweatshirts are a huge hurdle for some reason!

I'm glad you joined in with the clutter free January group. I felt like you were the missing link :-)
We have a similar shape and size walkin closet. Our shelf at the top is not an open rack as yours but the clothes hang on a rod beneath the shelf which goes all the way around. We each have a small 3 drawer cupboard for underwear. socks etc. The problem that drives me crazy is the amount of dust that accumulates and settles on the clothes. I have no idea where it comes from. I do have my coats in plastic zip up bags but the remaining clothes are open on the coat hangers. I was so excited when we bought this house because of the walkin closet but now I wish I had wardrobes as in our previous home because the clothes had always remained dust free.
I need to do a major declutter of my clothes. What do you do with those t-shirts that always seem to accumulate?
I also do a cool thing with my hanging clothes where at the beginning of the new year I start flipping my hangers around on things I’ve worn and at the end of the year (or season) I get rid of the things I haven’t worn (unless there’s a specific reason I didn’t wear it like a formal dress). It’s really helped me see what I actually wear.

Tip # 42 for saving your money, did you know that you can buy and sell anything if its the right price, so look for the bargins at garage sales, thirft stores and auctions like Max Sold and sell them on sites like etsy and ebay. There will be lots of deals out there now as people sell their stuff to pay their bills.

Alright you inspired me to take another look at my wardrobe. I decluttered before we moved in November but I’ve definitely got some stuff I can probably let go of now that I live in Florida (probably time to get rid of a lot of sweaters lol)

great video. I think i would have placed my undergarments into the two hanging shelves and hung up my pants and used the baskets for sports wear. you have plenty of hanging space all you need is another hanging shelf maybe???
