This has always been a struggle for me. I was raised mormon and it was an awesome platform when i was young . Kept me out of trouble , had good friends that were doing good things , met my husband at church . It was awesome . But then i became an adult. Got married at 18 and the culture was crazy! I would often get put on "weak" sister lists and then all the service from other members would start happening. Lots or cookies and food would be delivered to my door . This was the worst thing ever because first they were fake friends - and second i didnt feel broken . I thought my relationship with my savior was good but i couldn't do this crazy culture. They actually never seen me ....but at same time those rules saved me ... i trusted that if i did certain things right it would keep me closer to my savior and i wanted relationship so i chose to live a certain way .. i get what your saying and i agree but there had to be a grey where works and relationship meet and if done right they work together....i have been going to sunvally for three years and love it . Still learning all the time and love these devotionals ! Thank you for all you do.
