Thank you. It's just a "tip of the hat" to the WWII veterans of the navies that literally saved the world.

Thanks for continuing to share your life aboard in what always seem trying environments. All interesting. Festive greetings

With your Fletcher class paint job you won't have to worry about U-boats!

      Ahhh...yes. The enemy below!
      Thanks!
Just now I had a 3-hour gap with no rain, and I got the engine instrumentation installed and tested (SAT).

"Asleep 12 minutes prior..." they say you can take the boy out of the Navy, but... anyway, Felice Navidad and Happy New Year, etc. The Canada Post strike is over (for now) hurrah! I was watching a different sailor with a new Starlink Mini and he measured the output of the AC wall converter unit and it was 30V; he had a lot more luck running it at that, FYI. Great to see you're adapting to the demands of fame and celebrity.

Starlink: I had hoped to run it directly at 12 vdc off the battery, but after watching a bunch of TH-cam videos, I had learned that one really needs to just use the adapter.
SO...I'm using the adapter from an inverter. In fact, Starlink would not power up with my el-cheapo inverter so I am using the Victron square-wave inverter...it does work great but does draw 4 amps so not something to just let operate 24/7 when it's always cloudy or rainy.
The 12 minutes: I had been awake early...was ready at 0800....had warmed up the engine and tested throttles and had the lines "singled up"....and then had to just wait because Edgar didn't want me to get underway on my own (although I was sure that it would be easy (no wind)).
      Appreciate the comment!
      Merry Christmas!

Boat looks good different than most 4 sure. Try soaking toe or even feet in hydrogen peroxide excellent stuff. Trip to Panama should be interesting

Y'know, I've not been able to find the peroxide here.
I was looking at my bleach, acetone, paint thinner, vinegar and pine oil....thinking "which one?"

I have heard of parasitic hookworms that burrow into toes and need to be dug out. Good luck!

      Holy Moly!
I'm going back to the doctor tomorrow.
Gotta' get this resolved or I can't go anywhere.

That close to land, how do you cope with mosquitoes and other flying insects?

Making screen windows was Job #1 when I bought the boat.
Besides, it rained so much that I usually kept all of the deck hatches closed.
You can sit outside during the daytime, and into the evening if there is a good breeze.
The challenge was electric power in such crummy weather. Hard to get the batteries charged up with the solar panels.
