My craziest coincidence is that I watched this video in March and then two days later I saw you guys at islands of adventure. My friends and I geeked out!
Also near closing, the water rides are empty. I went to River Adventure at like 6:30pm and it was empty. The Team Member told us to pick any line we wanted, we chose the first one. Also at night that ride is beautiful.
The one hour early for hotel guests was amazing... we got most of the rides we wanted to do in the 1st hour & if your a hotel guest use the boats. The security at the hotel boat stations was a fraction of the security lines at the parking garages
Regarding lines, I'm one of "those" that likes to walk-on rides. No lines, period. We go to Universal in January, February and September when a standard room at Royal Pacific costs $209 (instead of $425+) per night. We have local friends we stay with, but we get the room primarily for the ExpressPasses. For four of us, two days of Express Passes would cost $720 without a room. If you book one night at Royal Pacific, you get up to 5 Express Passes included. And those passes are good for TWO days! (day of check-in and day of check-out). Rick, I"m sure Universal doesn't want you to mention this. That's why I'm doing it! Thanks for the great videos!
Great tips. I used your tip about waiting to buy the fast pass until we arrived to check out the crowd first. We didn’t need one after all and saved a lot of money! Also, we turned left at IOA and blew through Hulk, Spider Man, Dr. Doom and Kong. I can vouch for that one too.
You mention in part one of my ways of avoiding the crowds. Whichever park the majority is going to first, YOU GO TO THE OPPOSITE PARK. Works every time.
When I go to Orlanod it's usually June si its packed. I've found relaxing in the morning and getting to Universal for 12/1 is better for me. Sure it's packed when you arrive but if you stay until close (usually 8/9) all the rides drop to basically walk ons. People tend to start leaving after lunch because of the heat
We’ve always used the 3rd row to avoid getting soaked on River Adventure. But this most recent time for some reason that did not work!😂 We will always be a little skeptical of third row from now on lol
Go during the low-volume seasons--that's the way we do it! 😀 Rick, you covered that topic really well in a previous video. My family's favorite months to visit, being that we're from Michigan, are (early) February and (early) November.
Thanks for another great video! I got back from Universal last month, it was my third time there but I watch your videos because there's still so much to learn, and of course, the thing that puts a big smile on my face, Rix, Top Six, Party Time, Excellent! ❤
Hello! I'm Vanessa from Brazil and I have a suggestion for a new video. You could show us the virtual lines' step by step (of both attractions). Thank you for all.
Thanks for a great video and tips. We are going to be there in August and this were so good to know. One question, if you have time. If you really want to ride Hagrid's and not have to wait forever when would you suggest if not at rope drop? Thanks in advance.
Correction Rick. IOA had early park admission over the holidays as well as Feb1st. I was there Dec. 30th & Feb1st and while everyone ran right to Hagrids, I ran left to Hulk and was able to ride 5 times in a row, three of which I had the whole row to myself.
I just went to Universal for several days. I had early admission into Universal Studios. What everyone does is head straight to the Hogwarts train so when it opens everyone heads over to Hagrids at Islands of Adventure. I was one of the first ones in line at Kings Cross, and of course even though I was an hour early before everyone else they let everyone with express in first. By the time you get over to the other park Hagrids is at 190 minute wait. Yes I know Hagrids is going to be long regardless. One day Minion Mayhem said it was a 20 minute wait, it was more like over an hour because all they did was let express people in for like an hour.
We have seasonal passes and have YET to get on Hagrids. The wait is always at least 2 hours. We were planning on trying to get there a opening and going for it, but now I'm starting to question that strategy.
There is a restroom in US to the right from park entrance. It circles over to Hollywood Blvd. We used it during an extremely busy time and never saw anyone there. Btw, we just bought our first annual passes! Woohoo!
Thanks for these tips on beating the crowd. Taking notes! Will be there week after next. Also would like to know best places to get our snack and drink that comes with our meal package.
I have a question! If you aren’t able to rope drop (like if you are going with a group from a school and won’t get to the park until around 9:30am) would you suggest going to Hagrids first then? Or is that still too soon after the heard from park opening? Hope you can answer. Thanks! I love your videos!
My only time in Jurassic Park I hadn’t remembered you had a tip on where to sit. It was an evening event and we had the boat to ourselves and sat front row center. 😂😂 now I know!
Beware PRE-SHOW slow-down: Minions, Fallon, Fast-Furious, Shrek, ET, and a few others can have apparently low wait times (5-15 min). But then you get staged through pre-shows, and you can just miss the cut off and stand around for 10 extra minutes. So, they are not really walk-ons and as fast as you might think.
Me & my family are coming from England in May so your tips will come in handy we hope to get to see you in the parks thanks again for the tips 👏🏻☀️👍🏻👍🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻☀️☀️☀️☀️☀️
Get there early admission/rope drop. Leave between 11:00 AM or 1:00 PM. Go for a swim or hang at City Walk. Come back around 5:00 PM or later and close down the parks. The parks are busiest between 12:00 PM and 5:00 PM.
Hey Rick, if we were looking to move to the Orlando area do you have any suggestions for areas with great schools? We have two little ones gonna be starting elementary soon. Thanks.
Go on your birthday. You can spend 30 minutes to stop by guest services and get a pin. If Team members see the birthday pin, they’ll let you use fast pass lanes, for free!
I plan to go to Universal (both parks one day) and I want to ride The Forbidden Journey and Hagrids Motorbike. Which one should I run to first when the rope drops? Not sure which method is better
i went to islands of adventure a week ago, i went right when the park opened and calmly walked to the forbidden journey. It had literally no line as hagrid had 120 minutes of line.
@@darvimaviin4348 You should dowbload the Universal studios app so you can see the wait times from there and go to Hagrids Motorbike when it has short line.
ae4xo When was your spring break? We are going the March 7-14 and I want to know what the weather will be like. I know Spring Break in Orlando is the week after, but idk if that’ll do anything about the crowd level while we are there.
We are going to Universal oct. 9, 2022 but not to the Halloween show. And the next day we will be at Islands of Adventure the next day which is Columbus day. Is that OK?
Very good Rick ur very smart I got to say I seen u in city walk in October I didn't talk to u because I didn't recognise that was u I walked right in front of u
Angelica Melgar none of the Harry Potter rides have loops. Forbidden journey does tip you back to almost upside down very briefly. Escape from Gringotts has one small drop at the beginning and Hagrid’s has a couple small drops in it. Flight of the Hippogriff is a coaster aimed at younger kids so you go up decently high but it brings you down gently so I wouldn’t even consider it a drop. Hope this helps :)

My craziest coincidence is that I watched this video in March and then two days later I saw you guys at islands of adventure. My friends and I geeked out!
My wife and I met you last year and we just scheduled a trip this year to make it back to the parks and HHN! We really hope to see you again

This is what I would call a classic Rixflix video. Some great information to help you get the best from your vacation.
7:15 the kid on the left is going to be a famous break dancer one day

You mention in part one of my ways of avoiding the crowds. Whichever park the majority is going to first, YOU GO TO THE OPPOSITE PARK. Works every time.

Its also worth to visit the rides during a parade as there will be less people standing in line

Great advise I tell my guests the same about getting there early
I have found that the crowds tend to "Hang" together, so if you use the Universal App, you can often see where they are not as bad, and head that way.
Fantastic tips. Can not wait to apply these for our trip in June.
Hey Rix can I get a fresh 2020 CityWalk restaurant review from ya? The blue man entrance to the park is a hidden gem! Thanks for the info
Great idea. I would also appreciate an update.
There is a restroom in US to the right from park entrance. It circles over to Hollywood Blvd. We used it during an extremely busy time and never saw anyone there. Btw, we just bought our first annual passes! Woohoo!

Random...but your wife is 100% right! Hot seasonal Butterbeer is better than regular 👍🏼
Please do a video on how to navigate the lines inside the rides
if you are mobile limited such as the elder patron or wheel chair bound.
Awesome vlog, and amazing information. Keep the good work up.

Did you go on the trip & arrive after 'rope drop'? If so, what happened?
Another great video. Thanks for the tips.

That’s right!! The first two hours you can go to Gringotts or Minion the must popular rides (for my opinion)
Thanks for the helpful tips 👍
Thanks Rix..."Don't Miss the Magic Don't Miss the Fun"
I love your videos
Another good video will be in Orlando Last week of April and thanks for all the info
Yesss, that's why I'm here. 😊 (Did you go in late April? If so, how was it? Any tips?)
Hey Rick, if we were looking to move to the Orlando area do you have any suggestions for areas with great schools? We have two little ones gonna be starting elementary soon. Thanks.
Thanks for another great video,we are going in august for our first trip to UO and these are tips are great.
I am happy I saw you at Citywalk last Wednesday. Don't miss the magic. Don't miss the fun. Subscribe! 🎢
In the park now....gonna take advantage of these tips...thanks!!
Great tips, Rick. Is the Annual Pass Holder Only line still open?
Go on your birthday. You can spend 30 minutes to stop by guest services and get a pin. If Team members see the birthday pin, they’ll let you use fast pass lanes, for free!
I’ll be there Wednesday through Sunday I really hope I see u
When went the express passes were half off or something like that certain a certain time. Not sure if that still applies
I will say on Mardi Gras opening day, IOA was early park admission. Unfortunately I don't have a UOAP or a hotel key :(
KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK!!

No more passholder line only! I went yesterday and they took them out.
Been home a week. The queue times was great when I was there.
Rix good see you it's not, easy beating the crowd I rather get there early
IOA had early park admission from Dec 26 till about the 3rd
We are going to Universal oct. 9, 2022 but not to the Halloween show. And the next day we will be at Islands of Adventure the next day which is Columbus day. Is that OK?
Do passholders get a discount on express passes?
How do you go on a ride? Do they scan something?
I will go in may, is there to much crowd in may?
If the park opens at 9, what time do the parking opens?
Yasssss! Thank you for the tips 😁
Very good Rick ur very smart I got to say I seen u in city walk in October I didn't talk to u because I didn't recognise that was u I walked right in front of u
also the water rides are least crowded at night too
Someone told me they don't let you wear ponchos on the wet rides anymore?
Can you do this for Disney?!?!?
Going tomorrow, maybe I’ll see you 👀
Do the parks be crowded on the weekdays
I’m coming in August for my birthday and we will be there on a weekdays .
Teairra camak You can check the orlando crowd calendar to get an idea of the crowd for a day.
noooo rix I left orlando on friday i was there for a week i wish i was there now😢
I’m going March 8-10
Do they still have pass holder only lines? Sent email btw
fix when we went we figured out you let every one go to hatreds at the start let evert one ride and then get on it when its 100 or lower pro tips
I have a trick it is called the golden gat pass
I love ur shoe 👟
i’m supposed to go on the 22nd
What does rope drop means?
as soon as the park opens
Rix Flix thank u so much! I keep listening that term and i get so confused haha. Love your channel!!
Is all the Harry Potter rides scary, drops, or loops

wait.... are you shoenice?
And this one right here, in San Francisco
*Forgets to put picture in
the restroom was right behind me in the shot
Rix Flix My bad. I thought you were talking about San Francisco in California and I just had a brain fart.
That's a lot of crowd.
The best way to avoid lines is not to go at all.
