I would love to see the Aperion Aluminum Ribbon Super Tweeter MK II, as I don't have the budget for the $1,000 variant you're testing in this video. Regardless, it's still going to be better than what my bookshelves can reach.

The Aperion Audio HQ is only 30 minutes from my location - did you decide to keep the AMT Super Tweeter paired with the Buchardt S400mkII speakers ? Also, what is your streaming source ? Tidal ? Hey Mark. Yes I kept the duel firing super tweeter. The expanded sound stage I get plus the additional sizzle at the top is amazing. My go to setting now with 600 hours on my Buchardt s400mk2 and 100 hours on the super tweeter are 10hz and -5db. Honestly I was about to drop 15-16k on new speakers but this rig sounds so good. I’m very happy. Oh and I stream from Tidal. Had my time with turntable 40 years ago. I was never good at it. Cleaning the record I would still get pop and hiss.
@@stevethetoolman2435 Steve, thanks for your prompt response. I’m a big fan of Buchardt - I currently pair their A500s with an EverSolo DMP-6 for superb streaming performance. Upgrading to the new DMP-A8 would cost the same as the Denafrips Pontus II 12th and utilizing the DMP-A6 as a streaming transport. I’m weighing my options. BTW: Thank you for turning me on to the Jacques Loussier Trio. What a great recording ! That sounds very nice indeed I've been looking at these tweeters I wonder how they would sound with my Magnepan 7's?? And then I would have to figure out where to set them
There are several TH-cam videos with aperion and magnepan speakers. Seams to be a popular combo. I have seen people put brackets to hold them to the top and another with small speaker stands to put them on the side.
The Buchardt s400 go from 40- 20,000hz. My subwoofer takes care of the low end down to 25 hz. Maybe lower. The super tweeter picks up the highs my Buchardts can’t reach. It’s layers of music. You hear triangles and high pitch sounds in the recording while not being to much.
I bought them and got addicted! Don’t understand how could I live without them before. Highly recommended!

Townshend super tweeter company sells a bracket that might work. It for quad Electrostatic speakers. I think it would work on your 1.7.
