You nailed it. I bought one for my OM6 and iPhone 14 Pro and love it. The only thing you left out is the magnetic mount is 60% heavier than the DJI.

Hello, I bought a DJI OM6 on Facebook marketplace, and it didn’t have the original clamp so i bought that product. I have an iPhone 15 plus, and the DJI Mimo app tells me “magnetic phone clamp not properly installed”, and the red light blinks on the OM6… what should I do?

Just got the om6. The phone clamp is much improved from the om5. Using the iphone 13 pro max

Nice video. I just received mine but I have a problem. After recording for about 5 minutes, the gimbal drops the phone vertical. similar when it runs out of battery. Why do you think it happens ? Do you think it is too heavy for the gimbal? I am using an iPhone 14 pro max. Any suggestions? Thank you for reading

The pro max is a heavier phone so if your using the MagSafe plate you have to get the counter balance on the DJI OM.

Or you will have to use the original clamp one and adjust the phone till it’s balance as best as you can but the best way to do it is to get the counter weights which attach to the gimbal. TH-cam DJI OM counter weights.

Does this not stop you from adjusting the phone to properly balance it on the gimbal?

They did it this way because they take into account the wide angle lense placement. So it doesn’t capture some of the gimbal. Yes you can manually adjust the one that comes with the DJI but the proper way is to use counter balance weight so the composition of the camera is not affected by the capture part of the gimbal. But if you use the main camera then for sure you can stay with the one it comes with and you’ll be fine.

I believe it’s the exact same strength as long as your using a genuine MagSafe case with it. I haven’t had any issues

You don’t have to use the MagSafe case. But better for protection incase you knock it off accidentally. But if your careful should be fine

Idk. I’m thinking about it. Seems like payload is exactly the same. Only real difference is updated software and your able to switch shooting modes thru the physical buttons rather than the normal way thru the App. Like POV mode H lock mode and follow mode
