Thank you 2 for the video, you guys do a great job
Glad you enjoyed the videos!😊
we love the boundary house awesome food and atmosphere
Great to hear, thanks for sharing!
Too bad you missed something wonderful, The Sunset River Marketplace. Gorgeous art and high end art crafts.
We have 3 trees for Christmas and 2 are still up lol
That's awesome!
I visit my Brother in Calabash every year. Great place to visit.
Definitely!
Love Callahan’s! St Nicks Nacks is one of my favorite places & I love Christmas. I don’t leave my tree up late though. 😊
That really is a fun shop!
Nice video Carmen and Brian. quite a large lunch you guys had! ive not been up to Calabash since the late 80s. fires seem to be common up there for some reason. my wife at the time aunt and uncle managed a seafood market there and lived in a house next door. both burned down in the early 90s, and my best friends sister and hubby their house burned down a couple years ago. thanks for the video. nice area for sure and it certainly has changed but then you guys keep us up to date of all things nice and new in the myrtle beach area. thank you Larry
Glad you enjoyed the video! That's terrible about all the fires!
people dont think about fires at the beach with all the water etc.@@CarmenandBrian
Really nice video, and so great to see you both up in NMB and the north of MB, this area is so great. we love this area. and we always stop at callahan's every time we are in the area. some really great restaurants in that area too. keep up the great videos. back in 2020 i surprised my wife with renewing our wedding vows of 25 years in cherry grove, and then we went to boundary house for our celebratory dinner there in calabash. it was awesome.
What a special time! How sweet!
@@CarmenandBrianit was awesome
We went to Calabash once when we were at Myrtle and we loved it
It's definitely a fun side trip!
We will be going here in July for a day! Thank you!!!
Hope you enjoy it!
The problem with those seafood restaurants in calabash and in the little river waterfront is that one year you go and you think it’s the best seafood you’ve ever had, the next year you go and it sucks miserably. My family and I have experienced this with multiple restaurants on both waterfronts. To me the best seafood restaurant in the area is Siemens seafood in Longs. If you’re coming from downtown Cherry Grove instead of going on 17 to go to calabash you just keep straight along nine and it’s this little tiny cinderblock building about 10 minutes down the road.
Thanks for the recommendation!
I have a request for Myrtle Beach. How about a bike tour of Perins Trail? I would love to show that to others! Thanks, Mark
Thanks for the suggestion!
@CarmenandBrian For sure! You guys are so upbeat. Your videos are the main reason I moved here. I haven't run into you yet, but I'm on perins trail every day!
I’m ashamed to admit it, but after countless vacations in NMB. I’ve never been to Calabash. My son in-law which will come with us this year is allergic to sea food. Can you order some meat on those inviting restaurants? Also if I bring my wife to Callahan’s I’ll never get her out of there! 😊
Honestly as a person that has some food sensitivities myself, I'm not sure I would take someone allergic to seafood to one of these restaurants. Even if he orders a burger or a steak at one of the restaurants, it could be cross contaminated with seafood. I guess you'll just have to talk to him about how bad his allergy is. I know the seafood hut has a hamburger the last time I checked their menu, and that Angelo's we pass in the video specializes in steaks and seafood.
Great video! So sad about Ella's. Dined there many times. My wife still laughs about how much I ate last time a few years ago.
Yeah I really do hope they rebuild. It's been quite a while since they burned down. Glad you enjoyed the video!
Yum!
😊
Hi there. I really enjoy your videos. I have questions about "fresh" seafood. What seafood is caught locally and is actually fresh seafood? I love snow crab legs, but I assume those aren't fresh, right? Thank you so much
Glad you enjoy the videos! Yes you are correct snow crab legs are not fresh here. They are mostly caught in the Bering sea off Alaska. Even seafood that is caught here is not always fresh. There are actually very few restaurants that serve true off the boat fresh seafood. Flounder is local, snapper, grouper, spots, certain types of crabs like blue crab when they're in season, oysters, and shrimp, there's probably more than I'm not thinking of, but like I said just because a restaurant serves that does not mean it's fresh from here.
👍👍👍💯💯
We went up there for a dolphin cruise
Sounds fun!
Pirate's Treasure House in Little River.
Thanks for the suggestion!
