  • A quick update from my 1 month post op appointment and a quick reflection on one month of recovery.

      Thanks! Recovery is up and down, but the main thing is the overall trajectory is up.

    Hi Jeff, tomorrow will be a month for me. I still have that ticklish throat and short of breath. Doctor says it could be from the breath tube.
    And it is great you can drive after only one month! I need to wait for another two weeks because my chest still feels tight and a bit of pain.

      You'll get there. I've learned that the healing process isn't linear and isn't the same for different people. Hope your recovery continues to go well!

      I'm trying to stay active on here for that reason. There are some great channels, but I always wanted to get more updates. I'll definitely do another video at a year, not sure if anyone would find any value in more frequent videos at this point since there aren't major changes.

    Had the same thing also they fixed my pectus carinatum I’m 17 I was out the hospital in 3 days ended up getting an infection on the scar and where the tube was placed then I got fluid around my heart everything thankfully went away it’s been 3 weeks going on 4 post op no pain just feels a numb where the pectus carinatum was but I do have soreness on my back cuz it’s the only comfortable way for me to sleep and also when I walk for long periods 20+min my shoulder get sore but thankfully everything went good

      That's great that things are going well. Just remember that your body has gone through a lot. The hardest thing for me early in was overdoing it.

      I did. I had issues with Vtach for a while. I still have some PACs but it's mostly normal now.
