- First time connecting a servo motor. There is a lot of settings, but if u just want it to run or use it as a stepper motor, It is not much harder to get it to work than a regular stepper.

Thanks for sharing your experience with Servo motors. I just received a controller + 1kw motor from china, different model controller, but clear instructions in well translated English so I hope to get it running this weekend. Mine will serve as a spindle motor though. Love your vids, I have quite a few to watch still yay :)
Great video. Made these servos a lot less intimidating to use. I will be looking forward to the spindle motor and stepper motor setting!

Have you made your other videos yet? I am trying to use the 1.8KW motor as a spindle too. I am wondering what CNC Software you will be using. What breakout board are you using? Could you provide much detail on how you found the right pins to use on the DB 25 to hook up the motor to a breakout board. Are you using a PWM in your test?
Got mine up and running yesterday, same set up, I just ran it with its Jog_1 function to test it though.

Hello, what do you need to provide to the Control Connector so that the Power and Run LEDs turn on?
I have a Maxsine EP100-3A and it has a 36 pin connector, I gave it 12V between pin 18 COM+ and GND which is pin 9 but nothing happens.
I can see the menu play with the parameters but the LEDs are always off.
Great video... heading down this same road in the future to upgrade my spindle motor. Where did you buy this motor from and who was the manufacturer or distributor?
Is there any software to configure the driver?

I am doing some reserch about making my own motion simulator using diy build actuators with servo motors. I will be controlling the servo motor with Simtools software through arduino.
As far as i know, the servo motor on the actuator should have encoder, but what kind of encoder ? can you help me out please.
What should i ask to the manufacturer for the specifications?

Starova, I am building a fabric shaver, which is aimed to be handheld and portable, as I am aiming for this size. I currrently have the fabric shaver on a step file or CAD FILE done by a professional mechancical designer in Seattle, Wa. Now, there is a series of cleaning heads that osiciallte 2 degrees CW then quickly 2 degrees CCW and the hertz is only 3-4 HZ and is driven by a brushed motor! I need minimum 500-550 Hz or 550 abck and forth movements would equal one movment per second to really make cleaning fabric like clothing and upholstery easier fopr the user! I need a little help deciding the right type opf motor can handle this repeated, super fast and controlled movement and offer differetn modes/settings almost in robotic fashion or movements, but that is dwon the road, I just need to find the right motor, possibly a PMSM motor or definatley a closed loop system and AC current drive. I believe having gears (worm gear drive) sitting horizontally perpendicualr to the rotor to relive strain off the motor and help enhance a smoother start-stop motion - I believe on a much smaller scale how a clutch in a manual transmission automobile with a klutch (b/c the main reason for the klutch is to take pressure off the motor! lmk if you wanna help and we can talk 414 659-1885, jon@dpxs.work thanks Bonafide -a

Why is the 3rd phase not connected to the input? Is it not necessary? Does it affect the performance and reliability?
One more. The rotating servo motor is getting slower / lower where is the problem master? I got dizzy thinking
which may be the reason that the controller display alternately shows 0,1,2,3, -1, -2 ...

i was trying to figure this out also and what i think i have found out is that you reverse polarity of the analog 0-10V i am trying to figure out where the 5+VDC goes for the ecoder, does it go to pin 22?
Thanks for the intro. I was looking at these kinds of controllers and was thinking they would be very hard to set up, especially if the instructions were in Chinese, or even no instructions. Is the little controller box with the black knob sending a PWM signal or is it just a simple potentiometer?
I changed all my steppers with similar servos (I would bet they use the same manual). Was not too dificult but the manual is garbage. The translation to english makes no sense, you are better copying the chinese into google translate. Anyways I'm happy with them altough I still have room for tunning.
Is that just potentiometer you have connected to the pins? You mentioned having to change the function of the pins? Looks like I have the same driver and motor as you do what pins and what settings to I need to use just to get it to spin with a potentiometer? Just want use it as a regular motor that I can control RPM on.

Turn off db25. Fn003 clears the alarms, then Fn004 resets to factory settings. Switch the device off and on again. Enter the required parameters.
