Also the UFC games should bring back base disciplines, because to me being classified as a Striker, Brawler, Wrestler, & Submission Specialist is boring. I liked it better when you could choose your striking style & your grappling style.

They really should make a pure muay thaï game, this game looked great, it’s so unfortunate they pulled the plug on what could’ve been a phenomenal game
I actually really like how the hands look. Not realistic, but they look so smooth and slick. These guys recognised you need to nail the animations.
To me the animations look even more realistic than ESBC which is hopefully coming out soon. Not mentioning Fight Night Champion or UFC. Reminded me of classic kickboxing game Best of The Best
Chatri was talking about making a ONE game with all styles in sometime next year I think he said.. the long guard, teeps and shoves in this game looks so good though.
Yea not surprising...the one championship is actually pretty slept on and they do more than just mma fights, I enjoy watching it...jus trying to learn fighters

Man, I remember watching your video on this years ago, shame it was never finished. Would be awesome to play this, it had great promise, too. Looked like they approached it with a great mindset, and I loved how authentic everything looked, from the stadium/fighter attire to the fighters and moves. You can tell the devs (or was it one guy?) were passionate about the sport.

They don’t have the manpower or resources to pull that off, plus I’m pretty sure the esbc guys are just straight up boxing fans. Boxing is way more popular than mma over there

If funding was an issue im sure many muay thai fans would have donated if they offered. Im sure even promoters would have donated. Never underestimate the power of a video game to actually grow your sport. I got into UFC and started learning about fighters through playing the very first THQ game. Now im a hardcore fan. A well made video game will promote your sport. If Glory/K1 was wise they would pay money to these guys to finish this game.

hey martial, i find it crazy you made this video because I actually just graduated high school and now its time to tackle my goals and dreams.. i’ll be attending a school for video game design.. my biggest dream right now is to be able to create an olympic / collegiate wrestling game because I wrestled in high school and fell in love yet realized there were no video games for it. This video just gave me some encouragement to create a game like you just mentioned.. one where all the intricate parts of mma(wrestling, muy thai, boxing, jui jitsu) can all be in the game. So thank you for making this video. It’s almost confirmation that my dream is the right one.. i know you had no clue about my dream or me in general but thanks for the encouragement bro..!

This game has the impact of the blows on point. They actually look effective when they land unlike a lot of other games in the genre.
I'm still hopefull that one day they'll release this game. They literally motion captured Ramon Deckers, a fucking legend in the kickboxing and muay thai world. This is just such a waste
Amazing vid. What a way to shed light and possibly give them the chance to start working on it again if this gets traction/recognition. The emphasis on the kicks, teeps, knees and possibly elbows is what will make this game stand out against others, primarily UFC. hopefully after this we see some light or the devs get more ppl to start on the fallen project again

It'd be amazing if you could get an interview with the head dev. I'm guessing they ran out of resources, happens all the time in indie development.
Why would they stop developing this game it looks amazing. This game would be huge if it came out. To me the graphics and the way they move the knock out animations looks better then the UFC games.
Graphics and gameplay don't do anything in sports. If they don't have the stars no one going to play. Imaging making a MMA game without any of the UFC fighters?

@@FighterMindset2024 There’s a number of reasons as to why they dont pull high numbers and none of them have to do with mma not being a popular sport. One championship is very popular for example supposedly having 1 billion viewers.

The new Esports Boxing Club game kind of reminded me of this when I first heard about it because it is being made by an independent developer as well and I was hoping it was the same people. It would be so awesome if they included some mechanics from this game in a Muay Thai mode even though it is primarily focused on boxing.

the real reason I want this game released is its got an immortal version of Ramon Dekkers, who's been dead now for awhile, but lives on in that games files with through motion capture. It's a real travesty it hasn't been released.
Wouldn't be surprised if the small developer got swallowed up by one of the larger studios.

I started making a 2d muay thai game. I'm new to game dev, but its gonna be a hand drawn 2d fighter. I plan to attempt a 3d when I get a stronger computer. I train in muay thai so this def a passion of mine.

I remember a while ago ONE had said they were going to make a video game for console. Which would be cool because it would almost certainly include muay Thai and kickboxing. They haven’t said anything about it in a year though, so I don’t think we’ll see it anytime soon if ever.

I remember the K1 game long ago for ps2, but never played it, think it was only available in Japan at that time. But I remember playing a K1 game on the pc through a emulator, was more of a game boy advance game but it was fun.

Creating a jiu-jitsu mode or system without being too basic would be damn near impossible. Not the striking martial arts though, those are more likely.

If anyone of you all wants to play a Muay Thai kind of game then k-1 grand prix from 1999 for the ps1 is probably your best bet even though it is a kick boxing game you can make a Thai custom character in the k-1 challenge mode there's also a PS2 version but it's in Japanese.

I've been saying for years I want to see a martial arts game that isn't tied to an organization like the UFC, just a game with all made-up fighters and created fighters. I say this because at this point they could do whatever they want to truly represent martial arts and combat sports. Make it as brutal as they want, have as many different modes as they want, all the rules and arena types to choose from, everything man. Just focus ONLY on making all these combat scenarios feel good without any of the extra baggage of representing a company's image. Of course all of that WITH actual fighters would be amazing but its not going to happen. At least not until a game like that comes out and proves to be what the people want, then maybe the licensed games will push a little more to include these things as well.

Look it is time for a kickboxing game running on a great engine. Japan has a large roster of decent kickboxers in the lower weight divisions that i think can offer an alternative to those that do not want to wrestle or box.
In muay thai everything is about gravity being projected and distributed by optimal handling momentum. This game looks great. Another game is Supremeazy MMA (ps3) where the thai fighter actually moves like a real muay thai fighter. This game seems to the same and maybe even better.
I think the muay thai guy in supremacy mma is Maliapet, a real guy the modelled the game over.
Gameplay mechanics matters more to me than graphics. I guess that's from being born in the 90s, and enjoying games that most games nowadays just can't duplicate. Even if they tried. Game devs have forgotten about fun, and focused on the funds.
There really should be a glory kickboxing game where you van fight with al the fighters in Glory that would be so sick
