The Soviet army is not as powerful as you think, for them only number matters, and not quality, being defeated by smaller armies in Afganistan or Finland. At that time, we had and we still hade a lot of forests and winter (it wasn't global warming like these days) and back then the Moldovan region had a lot of troops that had very good training. In this scenario we took advantage of the Soviets and that is why we managed to win. And we had Yugoslavia and Bulgaria on our side. I don't know why everyone thinks I did this so we can win, I did this based on real facts. We had an incredible army back then but now....
Actually American military commanders where shocked by the quality of the equipment of the soviets, Afghanistan was only mountains and Finland was before the USSR started upgrading its military, And Romania dosent have mountains in its main areas which means Soviet tanks could rush in whit troops, At best ill give you Romanian army had good training, but even worse quality and even if somehow things got bad soviets would just deploy more troops, they had between 2 and 5 milion soliders.
Very true, what you say, I am Romanian and I admit when I say that at that time the Soviets did not have an army, wow, they were defeated in Afghanistan and Filanda, I think that if they had invaded us in 1968 we would have been able to stand up to them for a while and possibly expel them from the occupied territory, it would have been the liberation of the Romanian territories from occupation, we would have had to attack Bulgaria to give us back South Dobrogea, but that's it happened altefl very nice congratulations on the video 👏👏👏👏😊 really looks slick and almost true keep it that way 😊

In this scenario they only managed to get a few troops before being pushed back. I didn't say that they were defeated, more like retreated and made peace

In actuality,the Soviets would have taken the oil rich mountains,or anything beyond that,and stopped there.If they wanted to,they could go to the capital,but that would be quite costly
This is very realistic and would be the same for other countries because soviets though had the largest army they didn’t have a very skilled one nor a well equipped one, people base of strength through quantity not quality.

Mghmm yes of course, Ceausescu's Romania solos the entire Warsaw Pact and the strongest military force on earth at once, I like totally unbiased history. Yeah I totally get that it's not for realism and it's an _alternate history scenario,_ but even alternate history scenarios need to be in the realm of possibility. There's no way the USSR *ever* backs down or lets Romania into its soil, in the best case scenario Romania maintains its territorial integrity and leaves Warsaw Pact, but is extremely isolated. Anyways yeah, could you imagine just how much of a PR campaign such a seemingly unattainable victory would've been for Ceausescu? It'd make his people respect him a ton more and he might not even be such violently overthrown! Ramifications of that would certainly be interesting. Also it's sad that you didn't show the peace treaty after the war ended.

Ceaușescu was never overthrown by "a revolution" the world sees the end of communism in Romania as a revolution but this never happened because of Romanians. It was Russia's plan all the time. Secret services and our own documents found that Russia cancelled this invasion in 1968 just to destroy Romania in 1989. Because unlike others, we used our resources to the maximum and we became a European power and China itself loved our way of using Communism. And I can't just let you comment without any explanation so here you go: I'm completely conscious about the fact that Romania cannot solo the whole Warsaw pact at once from all sides it's like 500.000 vs 1.300.000 (estimed). Just keep in mind that is just alternative history AND the idea was made like this to make it more interesting. I also explained in the pinned comment how Romania won and why. I don't think Romania could ever win against the soviets, and you are just biased because your are from Romania🙂

This realistically wouldnt happen The soviets would have a MUCH larger army than shown in this At this time the soviets i think are top 1 military Yugoslavia wouldnt be able to fight Hungary wouldnt prolly join the war even if under communism

I think 150,000 soldiers is very low for soviets Especially if they start loosing i could see the soviets bringing in 1.5 million men to attempt to steamroll romania The scenario with hungary makes sense as the army is significantly depleted because(yk that one revolution) Hungary would defo get steamrolled by both romania and yugoslavia

I made it a bigger number but the program I use, is a bit challenging and I forgot to make the number higher and also the date. Nu avea vehicule grele sau artilerie performantă, măcar Kalașnikovul marea parte a armatei nu avea, fiind înarmați pe 70% cu PPS-41 sau Oprița PM-1941. Aviația armatei române tot era foarte mică și înapoiată, că și sistemele anti-aier. În orice scenariu, în război URSS-România, armata română ar fi depășită nu numai numeric, ci și calitativ. Să nu vorbim de flota Mariei Negre a URSS. România ar putea duse doar război de atriție pe propriile teritorii, ținând apărarea în Carpați, dar cu condiția că în război vor participa numai URSS cu România, fără alte state din Tratatul de la Varșovia. Odată ce Prutul va fi trecut de armata sovietică, sovieticii nu vor avea nici un obstacol natural în calea spre București. Asta e cea ce cred eu.
Daca Romania ar fi reusit sa reziste o saptamana(fapt foarte posibil) atunci am fi primit ajutor din vest , si Romania cu siguranta ar castiga in aceste conditii.

Aviația armatei române tot era foarte mică și înapoiată, că și sistemele anti-aier. În orice scenariu, în război URSS-România, armata română ar fi depășită nu numai numeric, ci și calitativ. Să nu vorbim de flota Mariei Negre a URSS. România ar putea duse doar război de atriție pe propriile teritorii, ținând apărarea în Carpați, dar cu condiția că în război vor participa numai URSS cu România, fără alte state din Tratatul de la Varșovia. Odată ce Prutul va fi trecut de armata sovietică, sovieticii nu vor avea nici un obstacol natural în calea spre București. Asta e cea ce cred eu.
Daca Romania ar fi reusit sa reziste o saptamana(fapt foarte posibil) atunci am fi primit ajutor din vest , si Romania cu siguranta ar castiga in aceste conditii.
Bulgaria and Yugoslavia would not send shit to Romania. Bulgaria would join the Warsaw Pact, while Yugoslavia would continue its neutrality. Bad video of bad history.
