I was like, “yeah, of course, but why are you publishing this now?” I clicked, thinking she was involved in something new that I would want to watch. I read the article, and at the bottom was a link to her obituary. I ended up crying at work. She was f-ing amazing and I hope she knows that’s what we think of her.

I was rewatching All Stars 7 last night and thinking about how tremendous she did and the last thing I’d expect was to wake up to the news of her passing. I’m absolutely heartbroken. Rest in peace to such a talented and beautiful soul ❤
My body did the same. Felt the heart sinking to the stomach and dizziness as well. It’s crazy how emotional shock can physically affect us. But it just goes to show how strongly The Vivienne affected our hearts from the moment we knew of her talent.

The Vivienne truly was the bridge between the gaps of old school British drag and modern contemporary drag. She inspired baby queens across the UK whilst keeping the origins of our drag history alive. She may be gone, but her impact and her legacy will never be forgotten. Sweet dreams, you absolute legend.
A friend messaged me last night that she was gone. Shock, disbelief, sorrow. The Vivienne was an icon and we were so proud of her in the UK. I never met her but I believe she had a heart of gold.
