the way i appreciate this reaction just to know that i was not the only one stressing out and bawling the way i was watching this episode my goodness was THAT such a rollercoaster yelling and screaming at her to go back cause he wasnt even worried about her he was only worried about making sure he killed his brother and she could have lived but she just had to go back for 3rds

It HAD to be Rhaenys and Meleys. People are crying…yes I did as well but at the end of the day She redeemed herself because she could have ended it before it began. Also she was counseling Rhaenyra the entire time advising her to hold back from the attack. She died a Queen though. Her death just changed the game. And she was trying to push Corlys to name a successor as well because she KNEW that he is gonna be setting out to avenge her leaving Driftmark Throne vulnerable.
@Dramawitsvu17 She's a warrior, one of my favorite characters. I don't think Corlys will name Rheana heir, I'm wondering if he's gonna name Alyn 🤔. We'll see, though.

Rhaenys is a Targaryen princess, and the daughter of a Targaryen prince who was killed by enemies while fighting to protect the realm. She would not abandon her mission. Also, Rhaenys knew that if Vhagar weren't killed or badly hurt, she and Aemond could go after the Velaryon fleet (and kill Rhaenys' husband) or Rhaenys' grand-daughters (Baela and her small Moondancer would make a nice snack for Vhagar) as well as Rhaenyra and all her children. Rhaenys and Corlys are my favorite couple in the story, and I knew this was coming and dreaded it...
