re. the questions about ‘grit’, its basically small stone material, sharp sand, plastering sand, river sand etc. But dont use ‘quarry dust’ it contains a lot of actual dust.
After you get your cuttings rooted, do you place only one per pot and keep cutting back to make it bush out, or do you place several cuttings into one pot? Thanks!
Thank you for this video and instructions of HOW TO GROW GERANIUM CUTTING INDOORS DURING THE WINTER. I plan to give this method a try and save the beautiful plants i grew this summer. Question I do have concerns LIGHTING while the plants are indoors. I do not have a window that recessive good lighting, would a Grow-lux light be ok to use ? If so, how many hours would be required for proper growth?
Glad it was helpful! I can't comment on the use of an artificial light as I have never used one myself for growing cuttings. Sorry I can't help more on that.
So these cuttings are simply sitting on your window sill during the winter ? They must be getting a little heat then from the central heating then, would that be true ?
In Arizona the problem is getting the geraniums through the summer. They do fine till mid June and then by mid July they are dead. I'm wondering if I can take a June 1 cutting, bring it indoors and keep it out of the extreme heat through September. Hoping to transplant it back to its original home after the extreme heat is past. Wish me luck!!!
Pelargonium 'Wilhelm Langguth is the name for this specific verity 🌸🪴. I’ve taken a cutting back from Cyprus they grow all year over there as the winters are mild and frost free I watched your other video it worked I did it about a month ago with the cutting and it’s rooted and growing well.

My grandmother called hers 'Caroline Schmidt'. She died in 1975 and my plants are all from cuttings from hers!
It's great to keep the same plants going through cuttings amazing really.

What is grit? sand?
A rough sand with bigger bits of stone

Yes perlite should do a good job also.

This one was on the window sill south facing. It only had the general temperature of the house no extra heat.
What is gritting?
What are grits?
Sandy soil with good drainage.
How often do you water in winter
Guess I should have waited for the very end. - impatient female lol.

What grit did u use for the cutting
Standard Grit/Sharp Sand. You can buy it in large bags at DIY stores.

I would say yes that should work as long as the room has good air flow and you keep them out of direct sunlight. Good luck!
Not sure, but I would also keep them out of direct path of the air conditioner.
can i grow them in water in the winter?
I wouldn't recommend it. It's possible although I have found this method works better in winter.
okay i put it in a pot thank you.@@PhillWyattProjects
you did say you have them by a window where they can get some sunshine , right?@@PhillWyattProjects
