I can say that I love the HEB Allscape 26x4 tires. I received them about two weeks ago and have ridden about 150 miles on them. They’re a very smooth rolling tire on paved surfaces and very grippy tire off road. I have definitely felt more confident with the handling of my Wired Freedom. I can lean the bike a bit more through corners without feeling the flex of standard tires. As for speed or range loss, I have not experienced any of that. You do have to work these tires into shape a bit and be sure to seat the bead evenly. As long as you install them facing the right direction and keep them aired up properly, they will impress you every time you ride on them. I plan to stick with HEB Allscapes as long as they manufacture them. They really are the best all-terrain fat tire out there.
I have a 2024+ wired freedom as well and I’m a little skeptical about people saying they are heavier cause as you know the freedom is heavy enough lol I don’t need more weight, but from your perspective they are good? @ikeilitz1989
@@FreedomEbiker1002 I now have over 1000 miles on these tires and they have barely worn. I am a heavier rider so I don’t really notice the extra weight. I also run Flatout in my tubes as a redundancy but have yet to get a puncture that made it to the tube. If anything, the weight of the Freedom requires beefier tires. I commute with my Freedom so I put more value on reliability than the casual rider. These tires will definitely make the bike handle better with the sturdier sidewalls.
Hate to say it but as much as I love the allscape tires, I have noticed about a 4 mph reduction in speed, and it does pull more amps on my controller compared to stock tires.
1:04 Can someone tell me how much the outer diameter difference is betwen the stock and the Allscape or the viperess? I have a 20x4 ebike that has stock and the clearance between the rear fender and the tire is very tight. do i run the risk of these tires not fitting at all or rubbing agains the fender?

It seemed to me the tire was tight all the way around, when I tested it out and took some turns the wheel actually came off and the tube was hanging out. The PSI is 30 so i'm going to keep it at 25 for now to see if that will stay better.
Make sure that it's installed evenly. There are two lines right above the bead of the tire. It took me several times to match them all around from both sides. After putting a little bit of soapy water and adding air several times they all lined up evenly around the rim. They will get lop sided and the tube will come out if not installed properly. Hope this helps.
We have taken the exact same bike and did speed test with stock tires versus our tires. We rode the bikes next to each other with people that were within 10 pounds of each other and nothing changed. There was absolutely no difference. What the speedometer reads and what’s actual might not be exact.

Does allscape make 20 by 2.5 tires?
I replaced my CST BFT tires. There's no comparison. Traction and durability have been greatly increased. I would highly recommend these!

Yes, you might need to adjust your speedometer after installing bigger tires.
