This looked like such an awesome experience! Do you know what the highest speed you got to was?! I’d definitely choose a manual car. Although it’s been years since I drove one lol. My very first car was a manual. Will they let tourists from out of the country drive or you absolutely have to have a Queensland license? Thanks for sharing about your experience. Loved the footage!
To be honest, I wasn't really looking at the speed and more on the road. I have heard from other that their video had a speed gauge to let you know....I wish that was on option. I'm pretty sure you only need a Licence to drive, but if your only have a auto licence, probably only an Auto Car.

Hey Chris, this looks like so much fun! I heard that it won't run when there is bad weather but I missed if this was an activity offered year round or just in certain seasons? I would def want to drive one!
I had a similar experience a few years back in the UK driving single seater race cars. I know how you felt - WOW. Something that you just must do. Manual or Auto? Manual every day of the week. It's the only way to feel like you're really driving a car. :-)
Single seater race car.... that would have been cool.... and your right about manual car, I wouldn't have driven anything different. Even though I've only ever owned auto cars in my life. I guess a lot of the younger generation get auto licences and they need to have the option. Did you see him moving my hand a few times from the gear stick....lol. I must have some bad habits...🤣🤣
Nice Chris, that would be a heap of fun I'm sure! I loved the underhand grip at 2:28, not sure I have seen a race car ever driven like that 😂 Shame about the quality as you said, for the money you spend and today's technology it should be much better. Would be nice to see the speed as well 🤔 I was expecting a few drifts on the final lap 👌 Great video as always, has that smile disappeared from your face yet?
It was heaps of fun, and your right - I would have loved to see the speed as well ! Adds to the entertainment of the video. haha yep, Not sure the driver liked me doing the underhand grip. if you noticed, I also kept my hands on the gear stick too long and a couple of times he moved it to the steering wheel. All a learning experience for sure!
@@AquariusTraveller I did notice him move your hand 🤭 old habits die hard. My son and I looked at doing this a long time ago, but never went through with it. Shame 😥 I can imagine it would be addictive!

We obviously drive on the wrong side of the road here…well, except for the letter carriers. ;) I was surprised to see that the course was clockwise (like here) and not counterclockwise. Is the clutch still on the left? Very cool experience!
Must admit, I hesitated in posting this one based on the video quality - That was the biggest disappointment. HAHA, yep - I manage to get through without hitting a cone - but others did and one even slipped off the track! Driving stick is less popular less days for sure and I think less people are getting a manual licence. It was pretty much the norm in my days though - However I do own an Automatic car ! Just easier ...LOL Yes - The clutch is still on the left ! We drive on the left and guessing this track is clockwise, although not sure they all are. Yep...it run all year round. They obviously run it around the professional racing though and mostly on weekends. So timing and planning would help. 👍😁

@@AquariusTraveller we have one about an hour away, they do the NASCAR drive experience there. We just haven’t had a chance to go.
Matt would jump at the chance to do that 👍👍
