I used to hunt gophers with a old school pellet rifle. Using 22 pellets, I cleaned out fields of them was powerful enough to knock them down with 10 pumps. A local artist used to have some eagles and hawks .he would buy them from me for 25 cents. I would buy gas for my dirt bike .gas was cheap back then. My dad would say how you paying for your gas? And I told him and he brought me a newer rifle. Nothing like today's rifles but was still pretty sweet. I think bob the artist told people and ranchers started asking me to hunt for rats and gophers turned into a sweet little enterprise I always had money for odds and ends 🎉🎉🎉

Amazing how a little old sub12 .177 drops them just as good as the .25 fac Impact whistles & bells jobbie... I gotta admit I love thwacking them with my Crown .22 fac, so I know where your coming from mate 😊

Its a pleasure to watch somebody shoot that knows what they are doing and how to do it, a real pleasure. I have watched dozens of these and you are the first that lines up and fires right away, no delays or spending extra time lining up for no reason. There is no wasted time at all just like i do it, man this is great. If you are taking more than a second then you are wasting time. Others out there think its suspenseful or that they are going to get a better shot or something when all they are doing is boring us and giving the rat time to move and your aim and muscles time to fatigue. Thanks again and look forward to watching more.

It's always seemed weird to me that the other rats either immediately inspect or stay completely still as one by one gets sniped. They're obviously not comprehending what exactly is going on but sometimes these death throes seem extremely alarming. Makes me wonder what it's like downrange as your mates are suddenly stricken with an urge to dance and then go completely still. They don't even have time to squeak it's just lights out. 👍

Awesome video guys and spot on shooting the Impact and 25 caliber slugs gives them a dirt nap everytime and the Impact has to breathe so it can smack the next rat 🐀. I'm betting that if you gave them a Texas heart shot that the rat's would do cartwheels. The S510 sub 12 gives them a good wack no problem. Cheers guys

I’m used to watching the pellets flying and hitting their targets…these are flying so fast you don’t see them at all…very high grade level shooting here…wow!!!

New York City is needing a Rat Czar right now heard on radio today and it pays 120k to 160k per year city is overrun big time with giant Norwegian Rats and mayor is desperate for a solution. I live on a boat in Marin County California and at low tide I can usually dispatch 1 - or 2 a night with my Dreamline Classic in .22 topped with Hawke Frontier 2.5x15x50 I just shoot it at 20 ft lbs as it’s all I need and it likes JSB 15.89 Hades. I installed a battery operated motion detector on shore under foot bridge and sometimes throw out some chicken legs or fruit to get them intrestested . Keep up the good work and your aim is excellent so what do yo do with the dispatched because that’s a lot of vermin

I am always amazed to see rats shot in the head & to see the inevitable series of gyrations, writhing, limb actuation etc. that follows. I would have thought that they would keel over dead as any of the animals that I have shot in my lifetime have. Great sport guys. Cheers! from western Canada
I guess different animals react differently when shot in the head. Just a common trait for a rat to react like this. It's just the nervous system shutting down after the brain has been destroyed.

Guys when I was a young tike in Texas back in the late 70's early 80's I would spend time with my pellet gun just blasting these vermin!!! And when I lived in England same time would hang out with a farmer who would blast rabbits!!! Good times and memories!!!

You're going to cost me several hundred quid as I feel compelled to upgrade my MK1 with AMP reg, plenum, superior heavy liner and power upgrade components. I'm already at 49ftlb with JSB King Diablo but it seems I now need 67ftlbs. I'll claim it as a necessary work expense I think!

They generally only come out at night time and when I'm shooting them they don't really know what's happening.

The rats I shoot usually the farmer disposes of them in a incinerator.

What's that little white flashing line in the S510 scope view? Is it the range finder? Or the infrared light?
That is the range finder. You can see the beam flickering through night vision.

It is the air being sucked back into the chamber (plenum) so it is ready for the next shot.

How do you clean up all the dead rats after? Like, how do you remember where you shot all of them. Do you bury them in a field?
Walk round afterwards, collect them and put in an incinerator
